We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with experience in Huawei Cloud, Kubernetes, and containerisation to design, build, and support scalable cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation, with a passion for delivering reliable, secure, and high-performing cloud-native solutions.
Responsibilities include:
- CI/CD with Jenkins pipelines as code or similar (Github Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Kubernetes Administration (Ingress, networking, RBAC)
- Enhancing monitoring and observability (SLO, SLI, SLA) and alerting
- Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) user (Terraform, CloudFormation, Crossplane)
- Release management and oversite
- SRE practises such as incident response, automation, reliability and monitoring
Must have a good understanding of the following services and/ or concepts:
- AWS (EKS, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, Fargate, Lambda, CloudFront) and Huawei Cloud
equivalents, with Well Architected Frameworks.
- Observability and Monitoring (Xray, CloudWatch, Open Tracing, Grafana)
- Kubernetes (EKS) experience
- DevOps Practices and CI/CD Tools (AWS DevOps Tools, Jenkins)
- Cloud Native Toolsets (Helm, Kustomize)
- Containerisation
- Programming languages (Python, Go, Java, JavaScript)
- Linux experience
- Distributed systems and architectures

- AWS Associate level certification or substantial years of experience
- Experience with Huawei Cloud services (ECS, OBS, RDS, IAM, etc.) and platform
engineering practices
- Preferred Kubernetes Application Developer certification or substantial years of
experience
- Be familiar with Kubernetes Administrative tasks
- Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or CDKS
- Experience with Kubernetes GitOps practises and using tools such as ArgoCD / Flux
or Helm / Kustomize
- Experience monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch
- Building of platform APIs, automation, tooling and/ or internal developer platforms
Skills Required
- Strong experience with Huawei Cloud services (ECS, OBS, RDS, IAM) and platform engineering practices.
- Kubernetes administration and EKS experience (Ingress, networking, RBAC).
- CI/CD pipeline implementation (Jenkins pipelines as code, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, Crossplane or CDK(s).
- Experience with GitOps practices and tools (ArgoCD, Flux) and Helm/Kustomize.
- Monitoring and observability expertise (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Xray, OpenTracing).
- Containerisation experience (Docker / containers).
- Programming experience in Python, Go, Java, or JavaScript.
- Linux systems experience.
- Familiarity with DevOps/SRE practices: incident response, automation, reliability, SLO/SLI/SLA.
- AWS Associate level certification or substantial equivalent experience.
