The Role
- Assist in managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Support the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient deployment processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to help containerize applications using Docker and deploy them to GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine).
- Monitor system performance and availability using GCP-native tools and respond to alerts and incidents.
- Support automation tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Maintain and improve infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform.
- Assist in managing access controls, networking, and security best practices in the cloud environment.
- Contribute to system documentation and standard operating procedures.
Qualification
- Familiarity with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Exposure to Kubernetes (especially GKE).
- Understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, and VPCs.
- Basic knowledge of monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Stackdriver, Prometheus).
- GCP-related certifications (e.g., Associate Cloud Engineer) are a plus.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineer role.
- Basic working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (e.g., Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, GKE).
- Experience with Linux-based systems and command-line tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or GCP Cloud Build.
- Exposure to Docker and container-based development.
- Basic scripting skills in Bash, Python, or a similar language.
- Understanding of version control systems such as Git.
