As a Software Engineer at Applied Materials, you’ll dive deep into ground-breaking technologies—like machine learning and AI—to craft novel software solutions that solve our customers’ high-value problems. Our Software Engineers are responsible for designing, prototyping, developing, and debugging software solutions for semiconductor equipment components and devices to ensure quality and functionality. Job Description: Devices Software Engineer
We are looking for a highly talented Electron Optics Devices Software Engineer to join our unique product team and help build the next-generation applications that control and manage our cutting-edge platform.

We are part of the R&D department of a major brand new and exciting Product, responsible for developing the next generation software and algorithm solutions that will power Applied Materials’ cutting-edge metrology and inspection system.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and maintain device drivers and platform flows
- Integrate and test software with real hardware components
- Collaborate closely with HW and System Design Engineers to ensure seamless device operation, define and implement requirements
- Implement and optimize device control logic for high-performance systems
What you should have
- 8+ years - Strong experience in Java (Python is an advantage).
- Familiarity with electronic control boards, and board-level integration
- Experience with GitHub Copilot or equivalent.
- Hands-on approach to integration and testing with real hardware
