About the Role:
 
As a Development Supervisor at Dumas, you will oversee underground development activities, ensuring crews meet production targets safely and efficiently. This role requires strong technical knowledge of development mining and proven leadership skills to maintain Dumas’ outstanding safety record.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Supervise underground development crews to achieve cycle targets and maintain safe work practices.
  • Coordinate drilling, blasting, mucking, and ground support installation according to mine plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor equipment use and conduct inspections to maintain operational readiness.
  • Communicate daily plans and progress to management and crews.
  • Support training and development of team members.
 
Qualifications:
 
  • Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core with Supervisory Modules.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience supervising underground development mining.
  • Strong knowledge of high-speed lateral, incline, and decline development procedures.
  • Familiarity with mechanized equipment (e.g., Jumbo's, Mechanized Bolters, X-lifts, jackleg, stoper, etc.).
  • Outstanding safety record and leadership ability.
