Job Summary
Design and build the frontend replacement for existing Video Metadata Management system within a predefined product and technology context. The role focuses on creating a modern, maintainable user interface that enables users to view, edit, validate, and manage video metadata that is provided by backend capabilities in an existing system. Replace an outdated and no longer future-proof frontend with a component-based UI built in own internal microfrontend framework. Work within a microfrontend architecture where the host application acts as the container and feature functionality is delivered through modular, reusable, loosely coupled components that can be integrated into products such as editorial or metadata-related applications. • Design and implement the new Video Metadata Management frontend using Angular, TypeScript, Web Components, and own STITCH microfrontend framework. • Build reusable UI components and user-friendly screens • Integrate frontend components into the predefined host application • Learn and apply principles, including standalone components, OnPush change detection, framework-independent Web Component contracts, clean separation of Angular UI libraries and core models, and documented component behaviour. • Translate video metadata workflows into intuitive and efficient user interfaces, including editing flows, validation feedback, error states, loading states, navigation patterns, and support for operational day-to-day usage. • Ensure frontend quality through clean TypeScript code, maintainable component structure, accessibility awareness, test coverage, integration testing with the host environment, documentation, and close collaboration with UX, product, backend teams, and the frontend guild. Collaborate closely with product, UX, backend engineering, frontend guild members, metadata experts, and application teams to ensure that the new frontend fits the existing ecosystem, can be onboarded into internal framework, and provides a high-quality user experience for video metadata management.
