What We'll Bring:
Role OverviewAs a Software Engineer (Java Backend), you will contribute to the development and modernization of fraud platform capabilities by building scalable, cloud-ready backend services. You will work closely with senior engineers, product management, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with platform and product goals.
This role requires hands-on development expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work on moderately complex technical challenges under guidance.
What You'll Bring:
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with architects, senior developers, and product teams to design, develop, and enhance backend services for the fraud platform
Contribute to the implementation of cloud-native solutions and support modernization initiatives for existing applications
Develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based microservices following defined architecture and coding standards
Analyze moderately complex technical problems and provide solutions by applying established guidelines and best practices
Support integration of fraud point solutions into the broader platform with a focus on performance, scalability, and security
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure code quality and reliability
Work with DevOps and platform teams to support CI/CD pipelines and deployment activities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with product requirements and technical design

What We Expect
Strong foundation in Java backend development (e.g., Spring Boot, REST APIs)
Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud concepts (basic to intermediate level)
Ability to analyze and solve problems of moderate complexity with guidance
Familiarity with development tools, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (e.g., Git)
Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within a fast-paced development environment
Basic understanding of secure coding practices and scalability considerations
- 3–5 years of experience in backend or service-oriented application development
- Hands-on experience in building and maintaining Java-based applications (e.g., Spring Boot, REST APIs)
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP (working knowledge or exposure preferred)
- Familiarity with DevOps concepts and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Git, build tools like Maven/Gradle)
- Understanding of system design fundamentals and experience contributing to implementation of scalable backend services
- Exposure to API design and development following RESTful principles
- Basic knowledge of data storage technologies, including relational databases and exposure to NoSQL systems (e.g., key-value or document stores)
- Familiarity with messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus
- Understanding of building reliable and performant applications (high availability, low latency concepts – foundational level)
- Ability to analyze and solve moderately complex technical problems with some guidance
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team environment
- Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Experience working in team-based environments; exposure to global or cross-functional teams is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies, understand problem statements, and adapt to evolving project needs
