Job Description

Developer

A Python Developer has a clear history of successful contribution to professional software development projects. They are driven, curious, and results oriented. They are able to manage competing priorities as they relate to improving and maintaining existing 3rd-party integrations and constantly challenge the status quo.

Basic Qualifications 2 - 4 Yrs of professional experience as a Software Developer in an Agile environment Experience consists of contributing to projects preferably in Python.

Experience consists of collaborating with multiple Software Developers while contributing code independently

Experience consists of directly impacting the architecture and design of large scale, distributed systems

Experience working in Agile development teams, preferably with formal Agile

training

A clear history of learning and skills development. Regularly helps software developers develop their skills in a variety of ways.

Nice to have: Masters in Computer Science

Nice to have: A clear history of technical influence (public conference talks, papers, etc)

About the role

You'll be working as a software developer in our Integration Maintenance Teams, responsible for maintaining and sustaining our 3rd party integrations and presenting actionable data to our Security Services teams. This team will be responsible for taking ownership of all the feature refreshes that happen from time to time for all the integrations.

Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will be:

Developing, maintaining and sustaining Python based applications, software, and systems.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design software solutions.

Writing clean, efficient, and reusable code in Python.

Conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback to ensure code quality and maintainability.

Debugging and fixing issues in existing Python codebases.

Optimizing application performance and ensuring scalability.

Participate in the full software development life cycle, building well-designed, testable, efficient, secure code.

Integrate software components into a fully functional software system; document and maintain software functionality.

Understand the product and how Security Services delivers the service.

Develop professional expertise, apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Determine a course of action based on guidelines, and modify processes and methods as required.

Continuously learning and adopting best practices for code quality, software development methodologies, and programming principles to enhance coding skills and stay updated with industry advancements.

You're a talented software developer who loves building things and cares deeply about code quality and reliability while optimizing performance. You enjoy coordinating with distributed cross-functional teams. You are constantly adapting to emerging technologies, trends, and best practices. You will build productive internal/external working relationships to resolve mutual problems through collaboration, with a focus on providing standard professional advice and creating initial reports/analyses for review by experienced team professionals.

You are not required to be an expert in any of these, but you should be excited by the opportunity to learn new things and comfortable with coming up to speed quickly. Any experience with full-stack development frameworks and practices is relevant and transferrable. You'll receive all the security training you need during our onboarding process and through additional training on the job.
