The Opportunity

At Mineral Technologies, we are seeking a Design Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering and Projects team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high quality mechanical engineering design solutions and technical support across a diverse portfolio of projects.

Working closely with Lead Engineers, Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of projects through all phases of the project lifecycle, including design, procurement, construction and commissioning. This is an exciting opportunity for an early career engineer looking to further develop their technical capability while working on complex and rewarding projects. 


What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Approximately 2 to 5 years of mechanical engineering experience, ideally within a design, project delivery, consulting or industrial environment
  • Sound understanding of mechanical engineering principles, design standards and engineering documentation requirements
  • Experience preparing engineering calculations, specifications, datasheets, material take offs and technical documentation
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
  • Working knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and safety management systems
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capability with a commitment to quality outcomes
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to learn, develop and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Experience supporting procurement activities, vendor engagement, construction and commissioning activities will be highly regarded.
