Job Description

Skills:

  1. Technical and automation skills (Strong knowledge of PLC systems, VFD, Field Instruments, control philosophy, field devices and their signals type
  2. Ability to understand customer process and specifications requirements
  3. Coordination with project team
  4. Hands on experience on AutoCAD and E-Plan

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

Strong design engineering skills with experience in PLC systems selection, system sizing, working knowledge of DOL, S/D, VFDs, Soft-Starters, PLC & MCC System Designing. Having knowledge of Rockwell PLC SIL2/3 will have added advantages.

  • Any relevant experience in Industrial Automation based Hardware Design (Rockwell Automation-Control Logix, Compact Logix and Siemens/Schneider, etc.)
  • Should be able to understand customer specifications and give compliance to it.
  • Design, define and implement complex system requirements for customers and/or prepare study and analyse existing systems.
  • Working knowledge of design calculations like Heat, Load, cable sizing etc.
  • In depth knowledge of mechanical design of different types of enclosures (GA/Layout design). RITTAL Enclosure knowledge will have added advantage.
  • Should be capable of developing a control circuit based on the process and application requirements.
  • Must be aware of electrical design standards like NEC, NEMA, UL and IEC codes, hazardous location etc.
  • Should have gone through complete project life cycle from design phase to commissioning.
  • Deliver & execute the assigned projects on time with good quality/ cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction.

 

Qualifications

Diploma/BE/B. Tech in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent

Skills Required

  • Diploma, BE, or B.Tech in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of PLC systems, VFDs, field instruments, control philosophy, field devices, and signal types
  • Experience with industrial automation hardware design
  • Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and EPLAN
  • Ability to understand customer processes, specifications, and requirements
  • Experience designing PLC and MCC systems, DOL and star-delta starters, VFDs, and soft starters
  • Knowledge of electrical design calculations, including heat, load, and cable sizing
  • Knowledge of mechanical enclosure design, including GA and layout design
  • Ability to develop control circuits based on process and application requirements
  • Knowledge of NEC, NEMA, UL, IEC codes, and hazardous-location standards
  • Experience across the complete project lifecycle from design through commissioning
  • Knowledge of Rockwell PLC SIL2/3 systems
  • Knowledge of RITTAL enclosures
