Job Description

The Design Engineer – Formwork is responsible for producing accurate, timely, and compliant formwork designs that support factory production and project requirements. The role contributes to the delivery of shell plans, formwork drawings, and associated design outputs in line with agreed programs, standards, and specifications.

  • Prepare formwork designs, drawings, and related documentation in accordance with project requirements and company standards.
  • Deliver shell plans and formwork drawings in line with agreed production schedules and deadlines.
  • Ensure designs comply with approved specifications, drawings, and production constraints.
  • Coordinate with Business Development and internal stakeholders to support drawing preparation and submissions.
  • Support the effective use of design tools, software, and equipment required to perform assigned duties.
  • Maintain accurate, orderly, and up-to-date records of all design documentation.
  • Protect the confidentiality of all company information, documentation, and design data.
  • Proactively raise design issues, clashes, or constraints to the appropriate line manager.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes, standards, and ways of working.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Construction) 
  • Minimum two (2) years of formwork design experience
  • Strong design skills in AutoCAD 2D & 3D
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office  
  • Well-developed analytical skills     
  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment on standard and major projects 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while adhering to strict deadlines and budgets 
  • Good listening and probing skills to diagnose client requirements 
  • Able to work independently and as a team player in a results-driven, fast-paced environment 
  • Willingness to be involved hands-on in projects if required 
  • Engaging personality and confident attitude 
  • Excellent communication skills in English language
