About The Role
Model Home Design Coordinator is an entry-level design support role that assists the Model Home Design team through selection development, presentation creation, documentation management, and multi-market installation coordination. Working closely with the Assistant Manager, this position helps develop interior selection packages while building knowledge of products, floor plans, and design processes across multiple markets.
This role serves as a key support team member for interior selections, model home documentation, and presentation standards. Partnering closely with the Assistant Manager, the Model Home Design Coordinator assists in developing and assembling interior selection packages that communicate the overall design direction of a model while building comprehensive knowledge of Perry Homes products, floor plans, and design processes. The position provides critical support that ensures consistency, accuracy, and efficient execution across all divisions.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in the development of interior selection packages, including flooring, cabinetry, countertops, tile, plumbing, lighting, hardware, color palettes, and décor concepts.
- Maintain knowledge of products, option offerings, design standards, and selection programs across all divisions.
- Research and coordinate the resolution of selection-related issues.
- Create design presentations and supporting documentation for internal teams.
- Manage and maintain the Model Home Selections Intake process, ensuring accuracy and effective communication between departments.
- Improve existing selection packages, templates, and reference materials to support future projects.
- Organize and maintain project schedules, records, and design documentation.
- Support model home installations and travel as needed to ensure execution aligns with approved design intent.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- College degree in Interior Design or another design-related field required.
- 0-1 years of experience in a related field preferred.
- Experience with space planning software (AutoCAD, Chief Architect, Bluebeam or similar). Experience in Bluebeam is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to create a cohesive interior design concept and carry it from concept to presentation, with a strong understanding of foundational design elements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable with presenting design concepts, offering informed feedback, and participating in cross functional team meetings.
