Hybrid — Denver, CO
Full-time
25–50% travel
We’re looking for a Deployment Strategist to define scalable deployment patterns, delivery playbooks, and post-sale success mechanisms that maximize customer ROI and shorten time-to-value.
This role shapes how successful deployments are repeated and communicated through blogs, white papers, use cases, customer stories, and reference materials. You’ll turn real deployment insights into clear, repeatable patterns and feed them into the execution process, using AI tools to help produce consistent, field-grounded content that improves deployment outcomes and supports go-to-market efforts.
You’ll operate as a strategic advisor focused on business value and opportunity cost — helping customers and partners move beyond “can we do this?” to “should we do this?” based on impact, constraints, and expected outcomes.
This role does not directly modify core platform behavior; platform changes follow established engineering and release processes.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who thrives in a high-ownership environment and wants to scale customer value through repeatable, field-tested execution.
What You’ll DoDefine and refine scalable deployment patterns and playbooks that reduce friction, improve repeatability, and maximize customer ROI.
Serve as a trusted advisor to customer and partner executives, traveling alongside them 25–50% of the time and helping prioritize opportunities based on impact, constraints, and opportunity cost.
Own success frameworks and KPIs that define what “value delivered” means across deployments, and build mechanisms that support adoption and expansion.
Partner with field deployment, engineering, product, and commercial teams to translate deployment learnings into scalable delivery systems and requirements.
Shape how proven deployments are communicated externally by producing field-grounded reference materials, including blogs, white papers, use cases, customer stories, and playbooks.
Use AI tools to generate and organize content and reusable artifacts efficiently, then refine outputs through professional judgment and real-world validation.
Identify and eliminate failure modes and friction points across delivery by improving playbooks, instrumentation, and execution standards.
Operate in an AI-native way by using AI tools to synthesize deployment insights, build reusable artifacts, and accelerate iteration while ensuring guidance remains accurate, grounded, and consistent.
In your first 3 months, you will have:
Taken ownership of at least one customer account or deployment motion and delivered measurable customer value through improved deployment strategy, prioritization, and execution.
Built and implemented at least one repeatable deployment pattern or playbook that reduces delivery friction and improves time-to-value.
Produced at least one field-grounded reference artifact, such as a use case, customer story, playbook, or white paper, that improves customer or partner understanding and supports adoption.
In your first year, you will be:
Driving measurable improvements in customer ROI, time-to-value, and deployment repeatability across the customer portfolio.
Establishing durable success KPIs and scalable deployment systems that enable partners and internal teams to deliver value with greater consistency.
Operating as a trusted executive advisor who improves strategic decision-making and contributes to stronger pipeline conversion and expansion through clearer value articulation and execution.
7+ years of experience in systems architecture, technical delivery strategy, customer success engineering, deployment leadership, consulting, or a similar role focused on large, complex deployments.
Strong ability to quantify ROI and business value, prioritize opportunity cost, and guide executive decision-making under constraints.
Comfortable working across infrastructure, security, networking, data systems, and applied AI, with the ability to participate credibly in technical discussions.
Strong operational discipline and experience designing playbooks and success KPIs that drive repeatable outcomes.
Proficient with modern technical and analytical tools used for delivery strategy and enablement, including cloud and edge infrastructure concepts, APIs, dashboards/BI, and structured documentation workflows.
Clear communicator who can synthesize complex deployments into concise patterns and compelling, field-grounded narratives.
Ownership mindset focused on outcomes rather than tasks.
Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25–50% of the time.
Experience building repeatable deployment strategies and playbooks that scale across multiple customers and partners, including success KPIs and post-sale operating models.
Experience producing high-quality, field-grounded enablement materials such as use cases, customer stories, reference architectures, blogs, or white papers.
Strong technical background across edge or distributed systems, including Linux, Docker/Kubernetes, networking and security fundamentals, and data pipelines.
Ability to translate technical systems and deployment challenges into scalable guidance and repeatable delivery practices.
Experience working with applied AI and AI-enabled systems in real-world environments, including scoping, deployment, outcome measurement, and operational risk management.
AI-native operating experience, using AI tools to accelerate synthesis, writing, artifact generation, and workflow iteration while refining outputs with judgment and real-world validation.
Work in a high-ownership, real-world startup environment where you can move quickly, build new systems, and see your impact directly.
Use modern AI tools throughout research, documentation, content creation, and delivery workflows to accelerate execution.
Take on challenging technical and strategic problems at the intersection of infrastructure, cloud, IoT, hardware/software systems, networking, data, and AI.
Collaborate with exceptional teammates and industry leaders across software, AI, and infrastructure.
Base salary range of $170,000–$215,000.
Eligibility for meaningful equity through stock options in an early-stage, high-growth company.
Eligibility to participate in company benefit plans, which may include health, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, flexible PTO, paid parental leave, commuter benefits, and relocation and visa support for eligible roles.
