About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Overview of the Role

Come join Salesforce and a team at the heart of driving healthy and successful revenue growth! As an Analyst, Deal Desk, you will be responsible for evaluating, structuring, and approving commercial quotes for our Japan, Korea, and Taiwan (JKT) commercial business segments.

In this role, you will act as a critical gatekeeper and advisor for high-velocity commercial transactions. You will focus on mitigating risks, ensuring policy compliance, and finding improvement opportunities within sales territories by leveraging the power of data-driven insights. You will work autonomously with account teams to apply pricing tools and playbooks, maintain absolute data accuracy, and actively support the Deal Desk team's shared goals and Salesforce values.

Key Responsibilities

* Own the end-to-end review and approval workflow for commercial business quotes, ensuring alignment with corporate pricing policies, legal terms, and margin guidelines.
* Partner in an advisor capacity to Commercial Sales account managers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth, high-velocity quote generation.
* Work autonomously with commercial account teams to structure quotes, while demonstrating strong judgment on when to bring in senior help or escalate complex scenarios at the right times.
* Drive a swift path forward on deals by consistently and accurately applying standard pricing tools, discount matrices, and commercial playbooks.
* Proactively engage Commercial Sales on complex or non-standard quotes to ensure they receive the right level of commercial support, adding value by recommending viable alternative structures.
* Confidently articulate the Deal Desk's perspective, policy constraints, and rationale when addressing objections from sales teams or internal stakeholders regarding quote parameters.
* Manage escalations effectively by clearly identifying the reason for pulling in leadership; always ensure numbers are 100% accurate and include relevant deal details, clear recommendations, and supporting rationale.
* Review and vet quote terms to manage compliance risk within standard contractual frameworks.
* Partner with Finance, Legal, and Revenue Operations departments to streamline the quoting lifecycle and accelerate deal velocity.

Required Qualifications

* 2+ years of demonstrated experience in quote-to-cash operations, commercial deal desk, sales operations, financial analysis, or a relevant commercial support function.
* Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role.

* Professional proficiency in Japanese and business English are required.
* Strong analytical background with high attention to detail, ensuring quote metrics, discounts, and numbers are always accurate.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, think on your feet amidst transactional ambiguity, and prioritize competing quote requests effectively.
* Highly effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain commercial policies and quote compliance parameters clearly to sales teams.
* Strong relationship-building skills and a commitment to working collaboratively to drive team results.
* Proficiency in using CRM and CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) platforms, as well as AI-powered tools, to support quote analysis and workflow efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience supporting a high-velocity Commercial or SMB (Small and Medium Business) sales segment within the SaaS/Software industry is a plus.
* Prior experience utilizing Salesforce CPQ or similar enterprise quoting platforms.
* Fluency in Korean or Mandarin is a plus.
