The Data team at Figma partners directly with product and engineering to uncover insights, build scalable data systems, and bring a data lens to business problems critical to Figma's growth. As an intern on our team, you'll work on technical challenges that have real impact on our product and business, and we're looking for interns with strong foundations in coding and statistics — or data systems — who are clear communicators with both technical and non-technical audiences.
This internship will be based out of our San Francisco or New York Hub.
What you'll do at Figma:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn business questions into data problems
- Evaluate experiments and surface metrics that guide product decisions
- Build models to understand user behavior and predict growth
- Design data pipelines and tools that make product data more scalable and accessible
- Focus areas may include analytics, experimentation, or infrastructure - based on your strengths and interests
- Improve experimentation accuracy and velocity through new testing methodologies
- Investigate user behavior and recommend product improvements
- Build internal data infrastructure and models that support cross-functional teams
- Explore growth opportunities through KPI research and funnel analysis
- Experience with Python (or similar scripting language) and SQL
- Solid understanding of statistical methods or data systems
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Familiarity with data infrastructure concepts or large-scale data pipelines

This internship role is based in either Figma’s San Francisco or New York hub offices, and has the hourly base pay rate stated below. Figma also offers interns a housing stipend and travel reimbursement. Figma’s compensation and benefits are subject to change and may be modified in the future.
