JOB DESCRIPTION
The Data Privacy Analyst role will support the Data Privacy Manager in managing and maintaining the global privacy program of UL Solutions. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with data protection laws by managing privacy operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support implementing the organization's privacy program and policies
  • Support implementing operational processes of the corporate business units and operations support teams in accordance with applicable privacy laws and regulations, as well as assisting or leading key strategic priorities
  • Assess business policies, procedures, and operations to ensure compliance with privacy requirements and government regulations
  • Create action plans for privacy related projects
  • Lead privacy analysis and assessments of products throughout development cycle to ensure compliance with privacy and data protection laws
  • Coordinate and drive cross-stakeholder alignment regarding implementation of privacy requirements and proposed remediations
  • Coordinate and deliver privacy training programs, communications, and training materials
  • Administer compliance monitoring, auditing, and remediation processes.
  • Conduct research, analysis, and reporting on the impacts of new legal changes or of potential policy changes
  • Develop, implement, and maintain privacy-related standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines
  • Assist in maintaining documentation for compliance reporting
  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices
  • Performs other duties as directed

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, Information Management, or a related field
  • 3-5 years' experience in data privacy compliance or data protection roles within a global organization

Required Experience
  • Strong working knowledge of major privacy regulations and their operational application
  • Strong ability to operationalize privacy (develop playbooks, checklists, and standardized processes)
  • Experience with conducting and implementing privacy risk assessments and advising on privacy risks in technology-driven environments
  • Experience in Privacy Management Platform such as OneTrust or TrustArc is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to translate legal requirements into practical operational solutions
  • Capable of conducting data privacy compliance reviews and audits
  • Ability to develop awareness and communications for all levels
  • Ability to review, analyze, and organize documentary and factual evidence
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and online research tools
