Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Gaming Insight Analyst to join our dynamic Insights team. In this role, you will be a crucial partner to the Casino Gaming and Marketing divisions, transforming raw data into the strategic intelligence that drives our business forward.

You will move beyond surface-level reporting to conduct deep, methodologically sound analyses of our Gaming products, marketing campaigns, and player behaviour.

Your primary mission is to challenge assumptions, uncover the "why" behind the numbers, and provide clear, actionable recommendations that optimise our investments, enhance player engagement, and grow our market share.

This is a high-impact role for a data-driven storyteller who is passionate about the Gaming industry and thrives on turning complex questions into profitable business decisions.

Qualifications

  • Proven analytical experience as a data analyst, marketing analyst, or product analyst role, preferably within the e-commerce, mobile, or online Gaming/Gambling industry.
  • Advanced SQL skills and extensive experience querying and manipulating large, complex datasets from data warehouses like BigQuery, Redshift, or Snowflake.
  • Strong, practical understanding of statistical analysis, experimental design, and the principles of A/B testing (e.g., control groups, statistical significance), to extract reliable insights from imperfect data.
  • Highly proficient with business intelligence tools such as Looker (or a similar tool like Tableau/Power BI) for data visualisation and building intuitive dashboards.
  • Ability to connect data insights to real-world business results and financial outcomes, acting as a business partner rather than just an analyst.
  • Excellent communicator who is able to clearly explain complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences in a simple and concise way.
  • Passion for casino games and a curiosity about the online gaming world, with a keen interest in understanding what drives player behaviour.

Additional Information

  • Designing, executing, and delivering post-mortems for marketing and promotional campaigns, going beyond top-line results to measure true incremental lift, ROI, and profitability, accounting for confounding variables and establishing clear attribution.
  • Applying a rigorous analytical framework to evaluate the performance of marketing activities and product changes (e.g., game positioning) while measuring the impact of these "tests," using statistical principles to assess their effectiveness and inform future strategy.
  • Analysing player behavior by segmenting our user base across various dimensions (e.g., New vs. Existing, Player Value Tiers, Game/Provider Preference) to better understand player loyalty and lifetime value.
  • Translating complex findings into compelling narratives and actionable recommendations for stakeholders in Gaming, Marketing, and Leadership; such insights will directly influence decisions on marketing spend, product strategy, and promotional calendars.
  • Developing and maintaining powerful, intuitive dashboards and reports in Looker to provide stakeholders with self-serve access to performance metrics.
  • Using LookML to define business logic, creating reusable data models, and ensuring data consistency and accuracy for all analytics built on top of our BigQuery data warehouse.
