Our mission is to deliver intelligence you can trust, for a better world tomorrow.

About the Role

The Data & AI Governance Specialist is a key role within EROAD’s Data, AI & Insights function, reporting to the Director of Data, AI & Insights.

This role is responsible for owning and evolving EROAD’s data and AI governance capability, ensuring data and AI use cases are trusted, observable, controlled, and compliant. It is a hands‑on role focused on embedding governance into delivery and operations, rather than operating as a policy‑only function.

Working closely with technical, product, security, legal, and business stakeholders, this role supports safe and responsible AI adoption while enabling delivery velocity and innovation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own and operate EROAD’s data and AI governance platforms, including cataloguing, classification, lineage, and data quality
  • Develop and embed pragmatic data and AI governance frameworks, standards, and controls
  • Provide visibility into governance coverage, risks, and compliance across the data estate
  • Partner with Security, Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams to manage regulatory and data risk obligations
  • Support responsible AI initiatives by managing governance intake, classification, and approval processes
  • Drive governance literacy through training, coaching, and stakeholder engagement
  • Balance governance rigor with delivery speed, focusing on measurable risk reduction

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong experience in data governance, data management, or data risk roles
  • Practical understanding of modern data platforms, analytics, and AI ecosystems
  • Ability to translate governance and regulatory requirements into actionable delivery controls
  • Strong stakeholder influence and communication skills
  • Pragmatic, outcome‑driven mindset with a passion for data quality and trust

Skills & Required Experience

  • 4+ years’ experience in data governance, data management, or related roles
  • Experience working with data engineering, analytics, or platform teams
  • Familiarity with privacy, compliance, lineage, and data quality concepts
  • Experience operating in regulated or controlled data environments
