Equifax is seeking a creative, high-energy and driven Software Engineer (SE) Lead with hands-on development skills to work on a variety of meaningful projects. In this role, you will provide technical leadership to SE teams throughout our Data Fabric / Data Services teams. Teams include cross-functional skills across development, quality assurance, reliability engineering, project and product management. Requires a passion for mentoring, coaching, and assisting in the development of software, quality and reliability engineers. Your professional background as a cloud-based Software Engineering Lead will significantly contribute to the success of this team.

This position is based in Atlanta, GA. This resource should be local and will sit in our Alpharetta, GA location.
To adhere to our Return To Office (RTO) weekly onsite requirements, Equifax has a hybrid work schedule that allows for 2 days of remote work (Monday and Friday), with 3 days onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) each and every week.
What you’ll do

Manage, coach, mentor, and develop teams with cross-functional skills that include software development, quality, and site reliability engineers.

Deep understanding of cloud native, distributed micro-service based architectures. Build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders including product, business and sales partners. Demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to both simplify complex problems and also dive deeper if needed.

Collaborate with the architects, SRE leads and other technical leadership on strategic technical direction, guidelines, and best practices

Ensure compliance with EFX secure software development guidelines and best practices, and be responsible for meeting and maintaining QE, DevSec, and FinOps KPIs

Define, maintain and report SLA, SLO, SLIs meeting EFX engineering standards in partnership with the product, engineering and architecture teams

Drive technical documentation including support, end user documentation and run books. Lead Sprint planning, Sprint retrospectives, and other agile team ceremonies

Implement architecture decision-making associated with product features/stories, refactoring work, and EOSL decisions

Create and deliver technical presentations to internal and external technical and non-technical stakeholders communicating with clarity and precision, and present complex information in a concise format that is audience-appropriate

Perform R&D, prototyping/PoC of cloud-native solutions

Design and develop cloud-native solutions. Design and development of big data processing solutions using Dataflow/Apache Beam, Bigtable, BigQuery, PubSub, GCS, Composer/Airflow, and others. Design and development of micro services using Java, SpringBoot, GCP SDKs, GKE/Kubenetes

Deploy and release software using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, understand infrastructure-as-code concepts, Helm Charts, and Terraform constructs
What experience you need

Bachelor's degree in computer science OR equivalent experience
-
At least 2 years experience leading technical teams in a global cloud environment
-
7+ years of software engineering experience
-
7+ years experience writing, debugging, and troubleshooting code in mainstream Java, SpringBoot, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, and/or CSS
-
5+ years experience with Cloud technology: should include GCP, AWS, or Azure
-
5+ years experience designing and developing cloud-native solutions
-
Experience designing and developing microservices using Java, SpringBoot, GCP SDKs, and/or GKE/Kubernetes
-
Experience deploying and releasing software using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, understand infrastructure-as-code concepts, Helm Charts, and Terraform constructs
