💻 Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Develop data processing and transformation workflows using Python and SQL.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Implement data modeling and transformation to enable advanced analytics and reporting.
• Integrate and extract data from Shopify or other e-commerce platforms.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring data quality, integrity, and availability.
• Implement and maintain data governance and security best practices.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in the data engineering space.
• Work with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, BigQuery) to design and optimize data models and queries
👋Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer
• Strong experience working with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem, including tools such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Storage.
• Proficiency in Python programming and SQL.
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and experience with data transformation using SQL.
• Knowledge of dbt or similar tools for data modeling and transformation is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
👋Nice to haves:
• Familiarity with data orchestration tools such as Airflow or Prefect
• Familiarity with data modeling tools such as dbt
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms
• Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems
• Knowledge of RESTful/GraphQL and its implementation in a backend environment
• Basic understanding of data distribution processing engine
• Previous experience in an e-commerce or retail industry
• Business-level English proficiency (B2 or above)
