Senior Data Scientist

TD SYNNEX is looking for an experienced and self-driven Senior Data Scientist to take our data analytics function to the next level. About the team

You will be part of a European Data Practice center of excellence, which interconnects business needs with exceptional data solutions. We are almost 30 individuals of 9 nationalities with diverse professional and academic backgrounds, including telco, banking, insurance, life sciences, or physics.

What we do

We tackle problems from many different areas such as:

• data processing and interpretations (worldclass data platform consolidating 300+ internal and external sources, processing billions of raw data points),
• marketing automation (targeted activities utilizing contact engagement, communication channels, content personalization and more),
• sales automation (supporting partners’ businesses through dynamic changes in customers’ journey, product portfolio insights and recommendations or other tactics)
• pricing (optimizing price levels with respect to multiple objectives and constraints),
• operations (improving operational efficiency and customer experience),
• e-commerce (perfecting customer experience across our platforms with a suite of recommendation engines and other tools).

In this role you will be

• applying data science methods and data analytics to real-world business situations across a variety of business scenarios in the technology distribution industry,
• collaborating with our business colleagues on business scenarios E2E, starting from definition of business problems and opportunities, through solutioning, development, deployment, and impact evaluation,
• writing clean, production-ready well-documented code,
• participating on design, implementation, refactoring, and maintenance of existing and future data products,
• obsessed with quality and on-time delivery,
• 100% of work on real use cases, with significant business use (no POC’s without use).

This skills & knowledge you bring include

• 5+ years in machine learning, data science & analytics or equivalent experience,
• demonstrated ability to address business challenges,
• working knowledge of Python, including data processing, analytical and machine learning libraries (NumPy, Pandas, PySpark, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Scikit-learn, Keras, TensorFlow etc.),
• advanced knowledge of SQL,
• proficiency in designing, implementing, and supporting data products in a production environment,
• proactive and self-motivated,
• sharp business and interpersonal skills, ability to simplify and communicate complex ideas across all levels,
• attention to details and next-level problem solving skills,
• hands-on experience with modern lake house architectures (Snowflake) and distributed computing systems (Spark/Databricks) is a plus,
• working knowledge of CI/CD, including but not limited to version control, testing, release management, monitoring & operation tracking (Azure DevOps) is a plus,
• experience with MLOps is a plus,
• BSc/MSc/PhD in Computer Science or another STEM field is a plus.
