Data Analyst
Experience Level: 3+ years
We are seeking a technically skilled and systems-minded Technology Analyst to join our Transportation team. This role will be instrumental in developing and implementing technologies on behalf of UFP Transportation. You will work alongside data analysts, systems analysts, operations, and other roles to modernize and streamline our current transportation technologies while being on the lookout for new technologies that can keep our operations moving forward in the technology space. In this role, you will work with the Transportation Technology team to research and evaluate software solutions, champion new initiatives, and drive technology improvements; while developing and training the operations team in using the current technologies being used.
Role Responsibilities:
- Work with all transportation departments on software selection process for new and replacement software solutions
- Work with transportation team to implement software and process changes
- Develop relationships with vendors to be part of development roadmap
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through new technologies
- Ensure new transportation-based employees have the tools required to perform their job function
- Troubleshoots software related issues in a wide array of software applications for all purchasing users
- Measure the impact and performance of newly implemented systems and processes
- Prepares various reports as required
- Performs other duties as required

Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Information Systems, or a related field
- Working knowledge of ERP (MSR, Epicor) systems preferred
- Working knowledge of TMS (Intellitrans, Ditat) systems preferred
- Working knowledge of ECM (Sharepoint, OnBase, Kofax) systems preferred.
- Working knowledge of Telematics/ELD (Samsara, Geotab) systems preferred.
- Ability to learn new computer software applications quickly
- Logical, process-oriented nature
- Ability to identify and pursue opportunities for improvement in business processes and systems
- Familiarity with transportation, logistics, or supply chain systems is a plus
- Strong organizational and time management skills
