Upstream is looking for a highly motivated student to join our Data Analytics team. This role includes exploring and extracting insights from millions of connected vehicles on the road. As a Data Analyst, you'll develop the next generation of cybersecurity and mobility data applications for the automotive industry.

You will play a major role in the company’s engagements, research large complex datasets, and use cutting-edge tools and methodology.
This role is part-time and is Israel based.
Responsibilities- Leading the data onboarding process of new customers.
- Explore raw data of various customers as preparation for parsing and normalization in order to turn data into actionable insights and make data-driven decisions.
- Use big data tools and AI to analyze large scale real-time data of connected vehicles and identify anomalies and emerging threats to create meaningful detectors that bring value to our customers.
- Representing the data function both internally and externally, including customer-facing interactions.
- BSc student in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Systems Engineering or any other relevant degree – a must.
- At least one year until graduation.
- Availability for at least two working days a week – from the office.
- Hands-on experience as a data analyst (military experience considered as well).
- Solid experience in scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, or similar), with data analysis tools (Pandas, NumPy, or similar) - a must.
- Experience in querying and analyzing large, complex data sets (SQL, ElasticSearch, Athena, or similar) - a must.
- Striking analytical skills with the ability to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets with great attention to detail.
- Team player, with effective interpersonal skills, initiative, and good vibes. Ability to communicate with both business and technical counterparts, and with executive skills.
- Experience in the fields of Automotive, Cybersecurity, Data Observability, and IoT infrastructure - an advantage.
- Experience with network and messaging protocols such as HTTP, OCPP, MQTT, and CoAP - an advantage.
