Responsibilities
- We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst proficient in working with cloud platforms, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, statistical modeling, and cloud-based data processing.
- A strong understanding of cloud cost optimization, resource utilization tracking, and CloudOps/FinOps principles is a plus.
- 2+ years of demonstrable data analyst experience.
- Collaborate with the DevOps/CloudOps/FinOps teams to analyze cloud usage patterns and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Create reports and dashboards to visualize cloud spend and utilization metrics.
- Assist in forecasting cloud costs and usage to support budgeting and capacity planning.
- Recommend and implement strategies to optimize cloud resource utilization and reduce costs.
- Stay informed about pricing changes and new cost-saving features in AWS.
- Contribute to building Data Lake of organizational application, product, resource data to drive business intelligence and AI systems.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Knowledgeable about optimizing queries for large data sets.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio, Quicksight)
- Knowledgeable about AI and industry AI products (e.g., Glean, Gemini, Q Developer)Knowledge of agile methodologies and project management tools.
- Understanding of FinOps principles and cloud cost optimization strategies.
Highly Desired Experience
- Experience with cloud cost management tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Trusted Advisor)
- Experience with cloud data management tools (e.g. AWS Athena, AWS Glue, AWS QuickSight)
- Experience with data lakes and tools for querying them (e.g., Athena SQL, Trino SQL)
- Knowledgeable about Data Science.
