PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Data Engineering
- Create, maintain and update dashboards in a variety of reporting tools (Splunk, Kibana) to ensure clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Create reports that summarize steps taken, findings and conclusions from data analysis for cyber defense engineering projects. This will include taking current baseline reports and reports that track solution deployments
- Identifying issues, warranting escalation to management and providing a solution
- Perform log analysis and correlation across multiple technology platforms to identify patterns and possible threats.
- Partner closely with our Security Operations Center to develop monitoring and alerting
Threat Intelligence
- Analyze threat intelligence reports to identify trends, emerging threats, and potential risks.
- Conduct research on new attack techniques and recommend proactive defense measures.
- Assist in vulnerability assessments and work with teams to remediate identified weaknesses.
- Participate in proactive Threat Hunting activities to uncover potential threats before they materialize.
Customer Authentication & Workforce Security
- Analyze customer authentication frameworks by performing log analysis in a variety of tools (Splunk, Kibana, Azure etc)
- Provide data driven solutions/enhancements to our customer and workforce authentication practices
- Work with identity and access manage (IAM), and network defense teams to create and implement solutions and safeguard critical assets.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Required
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and up to 2 years' experience; or 14 years' experience in a related field
- Experience pulling requested data and creating an analysis that will help assist project delivery teams to summarize project/deployment metrics.
- Demonstrated knowledge of generally known information technology platforms, and software development languages (SQL, Splunk, Kibana, ECS, Java etc)
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in priorities and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Must have strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
- Certifications like Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC), or equivalent.
- Knowledge or interest in the use of agentic and generative AI.
- Experience working in a telecommunications environment with an understanding of network security requirements.
- Experience using Microsoft's Entra ID/Azure portal
- Familiar with Python and various scripting languages (PowerShell, Windows Batch)
- Understanding of Structured Query Language (Oracle)
- Experience interacting with APIs (SOAP, REST, etc.)
USD 87,200.00 - 130,800.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $87,200.00 - $130,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
