The Engineer, Cybersecurity Data Analytics role is responsible for delivering the technologies that measure cybersecurity performance and enable continuous improvement.
This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Cyber Threat Engineering, and is a key role within Danaher’s Global Cyber Defense team. Demonstrated engineering proficiency may offer broader cybersecurity career advancement opportunities in automation, orchestration, and agentic engineering.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Build and enhance operational reporting capabilities by designing, implementing, and maintaining analytics-ready datasets optimized for reporting and dashboards, as well as associated processes that provide for on-demand and static security performance reporting.
Develop knowledge and proficiency in leading cybersecurity tools by designing, developing, and maintaining scripts and custom dashboards for solutions such as CrowdStrike Falcon, Prisma / Cortex Cloud, Microsoft InTune and other M365 solutions.
Partner with leaders to translate security performance and governance objectives into clear, accurate metrics; develop and present management reports to technology leaders.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in data analytics engineering, reporting, or business intelligence.
Proficiency developing data extract-transform-load (ETL) capabilities using APIs and SQL queries, as well as the underlying data models and structures; accelerates development using AI assistants and other technologies.
Experience implementing and maintaining on-demand and static reporting capabilities with PowerBI or similar solution.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Ability to travel – Around 15%, overnight, within territory or locations
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Functional knowledge of Power BI architecture, including DirectQuery, Composite Models, Row-Level Security (RLS), Object-Level Security (OLS), Dashboards.
Developing integrations, ETL and reporting functionality for a cybersecurity team using enterprise solutions from companies such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, Proofpoint, Splunk, and ServiceNow.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
