The Cyber Security Integration Engineer plays a critical role in fortifying the organization's cybersecurity infrastructure by ensuring that all security technologies are seamlessly integrated and functioning cohesively. This position bridges the gap between security engineering, IT operations, and business requirements, enabling a unified and proactive defense against evolving cyber threats.
Responsibilities
The specialist is responsible for architecting and implementing integrations between various security platforms—such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response), endpoint protection, identity and access management (IAM), and data loss prevention (DLP) systems.
Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate security controls into the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Implement and manage application security tools such as SAST, DAST, and MAST. Conduct code reviews and vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate security flaws.
Provide security consultation/guidance and engineering to PM product owners, customers, system owners, and developers, and maintain security process coordination within the Department's lifecycle management and governance process
This role requires a strong technical foundation in cybersecurity and systems engineering, as well as the ability to collaborate across departments to understand operational needs and translate them into secure, scalable solutions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, innovative, and capable of managing complex integration projects while maintaining a high level of security and performance.
In addition to technical responsibilities, the Information Protection Integration Engineer contributes to strategic initiatives such as automation of security workflows, continuous improvement of threat detection capabilities, and alignment of security architecture with business goals. This position is essential to building a resilient and adaptive security ecosystem that supports the organization's mission and protects its digital assets.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
8 - 11 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT systems integration, or related roles.
Technical Skills
Knowledge of cybersecurity common frameworks NIST, HITRUST, ISO 27001, SOC2 and fundamentals of cybersecurity program management.
Strong knowledge of Risk Management frameworks and principals, and GRC tools used to assess, track, and mitigate risk.
Strong knowledge of Secure Software Development Lifecycles practices.
Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
Experience with security platforms such as Splunk, Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto, Okta, etc.
Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security services.
Understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, and VPNs.
Certifications (Preferred)
CISSP, Security+, CEH, or vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Splunk Certified, Palo Alto PCNSA).
