The Custom Email Manager manages the execution, optimization, and support of both third-party and People Inc. product marketing email campaigns. This position is responsible for collaborating with sales, account strategists, email operations, and marketing teams to gather and manage email bookings, assets, execute and deploy email campaigns, manage and track workflow tickets, maintain shared production calendars, generate performance reports, and analyze campaign metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and drive campaign success.
Hybrid 3x a week- (New York, NY or Des Moines, IA)
In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.
About The Positions Contributions:
Manage the end-to-end execution of email campaigns—from email building (template, or HTML), audience segmentation and logic, to QA testing, scheduling, and deployment of fully sponsored (“Partner Offers”) emails.
Coordinate campaigns closely with the Account Strategists team to ensure flawless execution, perform A/B testing such as subject lines, content, send times, and creative elements to improve performance.
Manage quality assurance testing across devices (desktop/mobile) and email clients (Gmails, Yahoo, Outlook, etc)
Manage deployment calendar, and prioritize incoming requests from account strategist and sales teams, ensuring no deliverability conflicts.
Monitor email deliverability, list health and compliance with CAN-SPAM and other regulations.
Collaborate with the conversion team to grow and refine the Partner Offers database.
Develop high level, centralized reports for use by external teams, related to newsletter and brand performance metrics, including open rates, list sizes, and audience insights on an ongoing and ad hoc basis.
Prepare performance reports for Partner Offers and other in-email advertising on an ongoing and ad hoc basis.
Create, track, and update project tickets for in-email house marketing campaign trafficking.
Proactively maintain currency email trends, advising on best practices and data-driven recommendations to improve performance.
Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
3 - 5 years of related professional experience.
Experience in digital marketing, email marketing, or advertising operations is preferred.
Strong familiarity with ESPs such as Zetamail, Iterable, Salesforce, etc.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent analytical skills, with experience interpreting performance data and identifying actionable insights.
Knowledge of email deliverability best practices and list management.
Detail-oriented with a high standard for accuracy and quality assurance.
Ability to work under pressure, problem-solve effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Google Docs/Sheets, and experience with email marketing platforms (Iterable, Salesforce, etc.) preferred.
Previous experience in using basic skills with Photoshop, and Dreamweaver.
General knowledge and proficiency with HTML/CSS for email customization (or ability to work with templates)
Previous experience supporting ad sales or media campaigns is a plus.

Pay Range
Salary: New York: $67,000.00 - $75,000.00The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
