Job Summary

To provide specialist advise & support in the maintenance & analysis of banking activities & initiatives in order to provide accurate reports & information to relevant stakeholders, through the execution of predefined objectives as per agreed SOPs.

Job Description

Accountability:  Development of Product strategy 25%

  • Evaluate the current competitive environment for Credit Card products in the country, identify market opportunities & work with the Key stakeholders to develop strategic roadmap & solutions to grow revenue or gain market share

Accountability:  Delivery of Product Enhancements 35 %

  • Develop and produce business cases to support enhancements and New Product
  • Approval governance process
  • Evaluate, plan, optimise & deliver product design enhancements taking end-to-end responsibility for the quality of service that is delivered to customers across the product set
  • Ensure that the legal and contingency requirements of the product set are established
  • Work closely with all stakeholders to secure development support, appropriate systems prioritization and to develop testing plans
  • Ensure effective product launches ensuring all aspects are managed by the relevant specialist areas including marketing communications, training, systems and operations availability and contingency
  • Monitor Service Level Agreements (internal and external) and relevant KPIs

Accountability:  Product Performance Management 15%

  • Responsible for maintaining product scorecard including:
  • Profitability of Product
  • Service Performance
  • Risk Performance
  • Sales Volumes
  • Complaints
  • Proposed enhancements
  • Identifying top users of products
  • Identify and deliver product cost reductions/service enhancements being accountable for achieving cost reduction/service enhancement targets for Credit Cards
  • Understand the end-to-end customer experience of the product: maximise “customer delight” through optimising the product-customer interface and resolution of customer service issues by supporting the relevant departments
  • Support in forecasting product demand volumes & monitoring that demand. Assist the team to obtain operational rigour excellence in all aspects of the process they undertake through regular coaching and arranging formal training for them where the need arises.

Accountability:  Sales Support 10%

  • Monitor operational delivery of customer requirements, summarize failures and escalate to the Head of Products for further follow-up.
  • Support the Commercial team & Sales teams (e.g. Credit Card Sales Managers and Relationship Managers)
  • The evaluation & delivery of new product developments/enhancements
  • Training
  • Pricing decisions
  • Product maintenance, compliance responses
  •  Customer query and complaint resolution

Accountability: Governance, Risk And Control: 10%

  • Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework and Credit Card Policies and Policy Standards.
  • Understand and manage risks and risk events (incidents) relevant to the role.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure product compliance requirements are met.
  • Ensure compliance  to Bank controls , policy , service standards and procedures as laid down by the bank
  • Ensure all mandatory training completed to deadline and understood within given timescales.
  • All risk events (incidents) or control failures to be escalated, investigated, reported and fixed at root cause to prevent reoccurrence
  • Successful independent conformance assurance (e. g. CPA, AIA, Regulatory Compliance, External Audits)

Accountability: Other responsibilities 5%

  • Support strategic work e.g. system/mainframe upgrades
  • Support Credit card Market initiative in partnership with the Central Bank, Card Schemes

Education

National Diplomas and Advanced Certificates: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
