Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.
Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!
Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.
Where and how you can work
Alongside our global campuses, we also collaborate with talented contractors and freelancers from all over the world to help us achieve our crazy big goals. While we support flexible, remote-friendly ways of working, for this role we’re focusing on Mexico City so we can best support our teams and keep collaboration flowing.
This role is a 12 month engagement, working full time hours per week.
What you’d be doing in this role
As Creative Strategist for Mexico, you’ll be the creative performance engine behind Canva’s paid marketing in the region.
This role sits at the intersection of Creative, Growth, and Data - combining cultural insight, analytical depth, and creative instinct to continuously improve our performance marketing output. You won’t be running bids day-to-day - you’ll be driving the creative strategy that makes those campaigns win.
If you love decoding what makes a hook scroll-stopping, turning insights into structured testing, and raising the creative bar sprint after sprint, this role is for you.
At the moment, this role is focused on:
- Leading the full creative cycle - research, briefing, production, and performance review — running weekly sprint cycles that balance quick-win iterations with bigger creative swings, and feeding learnings back to the broader team after every sprint
- Digging into performance dashboards to spot winning patterns, diagnose underperformance, and translate insights into clear, actionable creative direction that drives the next round of concepts
- Directing and collaborating with video editors, designers, writers, and local creators to produce high-quality work across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging channels - briefing and reviewing content to keep it on-brand, culturally relevant, and platform-optimised
- Bringing deep cultural fluency to every brief - identifying Mexican audience behaviours, regional trends, and platform dynamics that shape compelling, locally resonant storytelling
- Working closely with media buyers, data science, and the LatAm Growth Marketing Lead to make sure creative insights translate into measurable business outcomes
- Driving CRO initiatives that improve acquisition journeys and lift conversion efficiency across key touchpoints
- Using AI tools to accelerate ideation, research, asset generation, and analysis - and staying across emerging formats and creative tech that give the team an edge
You’re probably a match if:
- You have solid experience in growth or performance marketing with a strong focus on creative strategy - and you've worked hands-on across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube
- You can lead structured creative testing and sprint frameworks, analyse what's working, and turn those learnings into clear briefs for the next cycle
- You have strong creative instinct - you know what makes a hook scroll-stopping, a format compelling, and a concept scalable across channels
- You're fluent in Spanish and English, with a sharp eye for tone, nuance, and cultural resonance for Mexican audiences
- You have experience briefing, directing, and iterating with creative talent — video editors, designers, writers, and creators - coaching them to produce performance-driven work
- You're confident using dashboards and analytics tools to inform decisions and optimise creative at scale
- You use AI tools to accelerate your workflow and improve output quality
