As our Creative Lead – YouTube, you’ll set the gold standard for social-first ideas that cut through, lead and inspire a team of creatives, and shape work that drives culture and fuels conversation.
Core Responsibilities
The Creative Lead – YouTube will form part of the LEGO Agency Social & Influencer organisation, and key responsibilities include:
Fulfil a hybrid role, balancing both leadership and hands-on execution, ensuring our content on YouTube is consistently bold, engaging and culturally relevant.
Drive the development of always-on social content while leading bold, breakthrough creative concepts that push the brand forward.
Be a pioneer in pushing episodic and repeatable entertainment franchises for the LEGO Group on YouTube.
Play a key part in the creative process, setting the vision for YouTube, ideating and crafting world-leading, fresh, social-first and famous creative content.
Partner with strategists, community specialists, creatives and production to bring best-in-class creative for the platform.
Identify shifts in culture, platform behaviour and internet phenomena that can inform the work before they go mainstream.
Oversee and contribute hands-on to YouTube briefs, balancing leadership with direct involvement in developing high-impact executions.
Collaborate with and guide creative teams across the social team to develop breakthrough creative content.
Work closely with strategy and community teams to make sure content is effective as well as creative. Work upstream with strategic partners, providing input to shape briefs effectively.
Clearly and strategically present ideas to Digital and Consumer Engagement partners.
Collaborate with the Creative Director to help set the brand and agency's creative vision on YouTube.
Proactively identify challenges and lead solutions, both operationally and creatively, ensuring the team remains agile and supported in a dynamic workflow.
Maintain a strong professional network of freelancers and contacts for external inspiration.

Our LEGO Agency (OLA) is an organisation that focuses on delivering best-in-class campaigns, insight-driven and fit-for-purpose solutions across the LEGO Group. The global development is driven out of the LEGO Group's headquarters in Billund, Denmark. Location-wise, OLA also has offices in Copenhagen, Boston, London, Singapore and Shanghai.
Do you have what it takes?
Relevant experience with social-first creative content, with strong experience developing creative specifically for YouTube. Your portfolio demonstrates the ability to develop bold, culturally relevant creative work across YouTube, social platforms and digital channels.
Strong understanding of YouTube as a platform, including long-form content, Shorts, audience behaviour and platform-native storytelling.
Background in the development of creative content, copywriting, art direction, digital execution and production, with a high level of technical craftsmanship.
Creative vision – not just following trends but making them.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects at a time.
Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple colleagues and also to lead and nurture juniors.
Self-motivated, driven, strategically minded and a great teammate.
Ability to prioritise, curiosity to learn and a growth mindset.
A passion for creative culture, curiosity about emerging media, and the energy to drive innovation through your team.
