Key Responsibilities
- IT Technical Support
- Oversee the delivery of reliable, efficient, and scalable IT technical support services for Arc'teryx’s Korea operations, including retail stores, offices, and remote employees.
- Ensure timely resolution of technical issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.
- Implement and maintain IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems, tailored to Korea’s operational needs.
- Information Security (Cybersecurity and Privacy)
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect Arc'teryx’s data, systems, and customer information in Korea.
- Ensure compliance with local and international privacy regulations, including Korea’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
- Conduct regular risk assessments, implement security controls, and lead incident response efforts for any security breaches.
- Third-Party Technology Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with third-party technology vendors providing services and solutions for Korea’s operations.
- Negotiate contracts, monitor vendor performance, and ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) meet Arc'teryx’s quality and security standards.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies or vendors to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Strategic Alignment and Collaboration
- Partner with the Korea Business Leader to align technology initiatives with local business goals and growth strategies.
- Collaborate with the APAC Technology Leader to ensure consistency with regional and global technology standards, policies, and roadmaps.
- Provide regular updates on technology performance, risks, and opportunities to both solid-line and dotted-line reporting managers.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, with at least 3 years in a country or regional technology leadership position.
- Proven track record in managing IT technical support, cybersecurity, and vendor relationships in a high-growth, retail, or consumer-facing organization.
- Experience working in Korea or the APAC region, with knowledge of local regulations and business practices.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, and enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, POS, CRM).
- Expertise in cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and privacy regulations (e.g., PIPA, GDPR).
- Familiarity with retail technology solutions and e-commerce platforms.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a focus on operational excellence.
- Fluency in Korean and English (written and spoken) is required; additional APAC language skills are a plus.
