About the Job
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cost Estimation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive cost estimates for our projects, ranging from small orders to large orders, within the Oils and Fats systems domain. You will work closely with our Principal Cost Estimate Engineer, follow global costing structures, and participate in project engineering to capture lessons learned for future costing updates. Additionally, you will take on the role of Project Engineer during the execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Comprehensive Cost Estimates: Utilize technical input and commercial experience to produce cost estimates for complete plants, units, and equipment for international projects.
- Knowledge Sharing: Promote knowledge sharing from projects to support the cost estimation team.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with sales, project managers, purchasers, and technical disciplines to establish reliable cost estimates during the Front End and Basic Design phases of CAPEX projects (including coordinating project approvals).
- Resource Planning: Determine the time, money, and resources required for projects in collaboration with respective disciplines.
- Cost Follow-up: Maintain a clear segregation of costs to streamline follow-up on changes in ongoing projects.
- Project Execution: Take part in project execution as a Project Engineer, coordinating costing activities across departments and sites, ensuring timely and quality input is received for finalizing the costings on time.
What you know
- Degree in Process or Mechanical Engineering (B.Sc or M.Sc).
- Ability to prioritize data relevance over strict accuracy.
- Confidence in making decisions.
- Adaptability to work effectively with incomplete information.
- Proficiency in English.
