The Development Operations Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure and tools required to support the development, testing, deployment and maintenance of our bioinformatic software applications. We are looking for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and who can apply their expertise to fuel biological discoveries.
Summary: The Cost Analysis Manager will be responsible for leading Technical Operations financial planning, analysis and reporting including but not limited to the monthly closing process, monthly forecasting and ad-hoc financial analysis locally and with central functions. Other responsibilities include inventory costing, internal controls, transfer price and P&L tracking/monitoring.
Responsibilities:
Period End Closing and Reporting:
- Define Journal entries related to Manufacturing activities (inventory, variances, variance capitalization)
- Perform analytical review
- Perform accounting reconciliation
- Perform Internal Controls
- Analyze manufacturing financial variance
- Determine root drivers for financial variances and explain them as needed
Inventory Management and Validation:
- Perform cost accounting and control
- Inventory reconciliation and reporting
- Obsolescence Analysis and reporting
- Lead Quarterly Inventory counts
- Set standard COPS annually
Audit:
- Support with documentation gathering for Quarterly internal audit assessment
- Support both external and internal audit by providing documentation and explanation on requests.
Strategic Financial & Analysis:
- Responsible for all Financial Planning and Reporting processes including strategic plans, Budgets, Latest estimates, and Monthly/Quarter latest outlook for operational costs as well as ROI analysis on business case analysis.
- Lead preparation of financial planning and analysis related to annual operating plans and support all business planning cycles
- Develop monthly reporting packages and Executive KPI/Performance dashboards focusing on key performance indicators to track financial performance -vs- Budget and support brand marketing strategies.
- Ensure financial results from operations are reported timely, accurately and in compliance with US GAAP/IFRS
- Responsible for Tech ops financial planning and analysis, taxation, and transfer pricing, calculating transfer price for items and provide tax cross charges calculations to verify that profit range is met.
- Collaborate with Finance Director & Business Operations to drive finance discussions with department heads across the organization and provide meaningful and timely financial advice
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s in finance or accounting
- 5-years minimum of experience in Finance/Accounting, 7+ preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of financial and accounting principles and processes
- Manufacturing background, cost accounting, and SAP experience strongly preferred
- CPA or public accounting preferred
- An analytical mindset and be a self-starter, being able to see opportunities and solve problems independently
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills, being able to work with both management and employees in the organization.
- Presenting your views and being challenged
- Work independently with the ability to influence multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to work in decentralized, multinational finance structure
- Ability to set long-term financial targets and sponsor performance improvement projects
- Professional business English (oral and written) as well as local language as required.

Our Compensation and Benefits
At Ferring, base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $115,000 to $126,000, which is the reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount paid may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education and primary work location. Additional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of an annual bonus - payouts are based on individual and company performance.
