Corporate Vice President - Development Lead - Marketing Central Modernization

We are currently seeking a Development Lead - Marketing Central Modernization to join the Client Growth & Retention Agile Release Train (ART) within the Client Prospecting Value Stream. In this role, you will lead the architecture, engineering strategy, and delivery of New York Life's next-generation Marketing Central Platform-a modernized, scalable solution supporting marketing operations, lead management, campaign execution, and customer engagement journeys. You will collaborate closely with domain architects, product partners, marketing technology stakeholders, and business teams to design, build, and optimize Salesforce-based capabilities across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Einstein. You will champion engineering excellence, drive modernization, and contribute to broader digital transformation initiatives across the enterprise.
What You'll Do:
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead engineering teams responsible for designing and modernizing the Marketing Central platform.
- Provide architectural guidance, technical direction, and mentorship to Salesforce developers and integration engineers.
- Translate marketing and business objectives into scalable, secure, and maintainable platform solutions.
- Promote engineering excellence through coding standards, development best practices, and architectural governance.
Salesforce Platform Architecture & Development
- Architect and oversee development across Salesforce Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and/or Einstein.
- Lead development using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SLDS, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Design and implement scalable data models, security controls, sharing rules, and declarative automation.
- Build and maintain reusable components, APIs, and integrations that support multi-channel marketing and customer engagement.
- Managed and Unmanaged packages expertise in design and development.
Integrations & Workflow Orchestration
- Oversee integration of Salesforce with enterprise systems using MuleSoft, REST/SOAP APIs, and event-driven patterns.
- Support Marketing Cloud integrations such as Journey Builder, Automation Studio, segmentation, personalization, and analytics.
Optimization, Governance & Delivery Excellence
- Implement CI/CD best practices, automated testing, and deployment pipelines for Salesforce environments.
- Ensure all platform enhancements adhere to enterprise security, compliance, and performance standards.
- Partner with marketing teams, analytics, data, and product owners to deliver business-ready capabilities.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure high-quality outcomes from external delivery partners.
- Contribute to SAFe ceremonies and continuously improve team velocity, quality, and delivery predictability.
What You'll Bring:
Technical Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- 10-+ years of hands-on Salesforce development and platform experience.
- Expertise in Apex, Visualforce, LWC, SLDS, Salesforce APIs, and AppExchange products.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, sharing rules, workflows, and automation.
- Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud (including Journey Builder & Automation Studio) and Salesforce Einstein
- Proficiency in Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MuleSoft, and modern integration patterns.
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks and ReactJS is a plus.
- Experience delivering solutions in complex, multi-org, enterprise Salesforce environments.
- Salesforce Certifications such as Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant and Salesforce Platform Developer I & II is a plus.
Leadership & Delivery
- Demonstrated experience leading Salesforce engineering teams or serving as technical lead for complex CRM platforms.
- Ability to translate technical concepts for business and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile / SAFe environments, ideally within marketing technology or digital experience teams.

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $147,500-$211,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
