Creative Copywriter needed to join our team on a contract basis.
The opportunity:

We are seeking an exceptional and strategically minded Senior Long-Form Copywriter to join our dynamic, flexible team, embedded directly with a leading automotive client. This hybrid role is ideal for a seasoned wordsmith with a passion for the automotive industry, who excels at crafting compelling, insightful, and comprehensive narratives that educate, engage, and convert.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the client's brand voice and content strategy, translating complex automotive concepts and technical specifications into accessible, engaging, and benefit-driven copy. Working collaboratively within a cross-functional flex team, you will produce a diverse range of long-form content that supports the entire customer lifecycle, from initial research and discovery through to ownership and loyalty.

What you’ll be doing:

You are a highly motivated, self-sufficient, and top-tier Senior Long-Form Copywriter with a drive to create exceptional digital content for our automotive client. Your passion for storytelling and meticulous attention to detail push you to research deeply, synthesize complex information, and craft narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.

          Strategic Content creation:

  • Lead the development and execution of long-form content for the automotive client, including but not limited to: detailed vehicle feature pages, product guides, blog posts, thought leadership articles, whitepapers, case studies, evergreen content, email nurture sequences, and in-depth website editorial.
  • Translate complex automotive technology, engineering specifications, and brand values into clear, compelling, and persuasive language that informs, educates, and drives action.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the client’s brand guidelines, tone of voice, and overarching marketing and CX strategies.
  • Work seamlessly with UX/UI designers, product managers, marketing strategists, and SEO specialists to ensure content is integrated, optimized, and effective across all touchpoints.
    Research & Insights:
  • Conduct in-depth research on automotive industry trends, competitor offerings, target audience preferences, and emerging technologies (e.g., EV, autonomous driving, connectivity).
  • Leverage customer insights, market data, and user research to inform content strategy and ensure relevance and impact.
  • Collaborate with data and analytics teams to understand content performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Customer Journey & Conversion Focus:
  • Map content to specific stages of the automotive customer journey (awareness, consideration, purchase, ownership, loyalty), ensuring each piece serves a clear purpose and moves the customer closer to conversion or stronger brand affinity.
  • Integrate strong calls-to-action (CTAs) and conversion-focused language naturally within long-form narratives, balancing education with persuasion.
  • Support UX/UI efforts by providing copy that enhances user experience and guides users effectively through digital interfaces.
  • Collaboration & Project Management:
  • Manage multiple content projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budgets, and exceptional quality within a fast-paced, flexible team environment.
  • Proactively engage with client stakeholders to gather requirements, present content strategies, and iterate on copy based on feedback.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for content, offering strategic insights and best practices to both internal teams and the client
What we want from you:
  • Automotive Industry Expertise (ideally): A demonstrated passion for and deep understanding of the automotive industry, including vehicle technology, consumer trends, the car ownership lifecycle, and future mobility concepts. Experience writing for premium, luxury, or innovative automotive brands is highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional Long-Form Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of long-form content pieces (e.g., articles, whitepapers, detailed web pages, guides) that demonstrate strategic thinking, compelling storytelling, and measurable results.
  • Strategic & Autonomous: Proven ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and lead content strategy within complex, fast-paced environments, often with evolving requirements.
  • Research Prowess: Superior research skills with the ability to dive deep into technical subjects, interview subject matter experts, and synthesize information into engaging and authoritative content.
  • SEO & Digital Content Best Practices: Solid understanding of SEO principles, keyword integration, and digital content best practices to ensure discoverability and effectiveness.
  • Exceptional Communication & Collaboration: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate content strategy, present ideas, and provide constructive feedback. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (UX/UI, marketing, product, legal) and senior client stakeholders.
  • Adaptability & Resilience: Comfortable operating within various delivery models, balancing pace and quality whilst managing multiple workstreams, priorities, and stakeholders as part of a flexible, client-embedded team.
  • Brand Voice & Tone Mastery: Demonstrated ability to adapt writing style and tone to match specific brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all content outputs for a major automotive brand.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous editing, proofreading, and fact-checking skills to ensure accuracy, grammar, and punctuation are flawless.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: A deep understanding of how content contributes to the overall customer experience and influences purchasing decisions and brand loyalty.
