The Coordinator, Human Resources, will play a key role in fostering a positive workplace environment, handling employee inquiries, and contributing to the overall success of the HR department. This position involves performing HR-related duties on a professional level and working closely with People & Development teams on designated projects and processes.
This position reports to a Senior Manager, Human Resources. The role will require presence in the office from time to time pursuant to the firm’s hybrid work policy.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Facilitate onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization
- Monitor department email boxes and address colleague inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
- Assist with the development and administration of programs, policies, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the firm
- Work with managers and recruiting to maintain job descriptions
- Complete industry surveys and respond to data requests
- Remain current on legislation and HR related changes; ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment regulations
- Draft department communications and maintain a strong understanding of the Firm’s branding and messaging guidelines
- Support the execution of firm-wide engagement events and programs including, but not limited to, charitable initiatives, staff appreciation and caregiver initiatives
- In collaboration with the benefits team, support the firm’s wellness program
- Support offboarding activities, including exit interviews and documentation
- Assist with HRIS data entry, including new hire and termination processing, benefit updates and general employee updates
- Respond to verbal or written employment verifications
- In collaboration with the marketing team, manage the Firm’s online Gear Store
- Support People & Development special projects and initiatives

Qualifications and job-related skills
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with a Human Resources emphasis
- 3 years of experience in HR, preferably in a professional services or legal environment
- Spreadsheet and database or Workday experience a plus
- Demonstrate good judgment and accountability for delivering excellent service
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills; both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong computer and technical skills
- Ability to work discreetly and maintain confidentiality
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills (e.g. grammar/spelling/proofreading)
- Advanced user in Microsoft Office Suite, data entry skills, and ability to learn new programs and systems quickly
- High regard for confidentiality is essential
- Self-starter who is committed to the job, with flexibility to work overtime as needed
