Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Converting Lead for our 3rd shift team. This role is responsible for leading pressroom production operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are consistently achieved. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, technical expertise in press operations and die mounting, and a passion for coaching and developing team members in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and guide the press production team to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and standards, including Safety, Production, ISO, and Quality requirements
- Collaborate with scheduling to maintain efficient workflow throughout the pressroom
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting support and coach employees on performance improvement
- Coordinate cross-functionally to identify and resolve production challenges
- Conduct and document routine quality checks across press production areas
- Crosstrain employees to build a flexible and highly skilled workforce
- Participate in production and safety meetings to support plant-wide objectives
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote best practices in pressroom operations
- Perform additional duties and special projects assigned
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an operator in a production manufacturing environment required
- Corrugated or packaging industry experience preferred
- Demonstrated leadership, training, and problem-solving experience
- Experience working in ISO-compliant manufacturing environments
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of press operations, die mounting, and rotary cutting dies
- Solid understanding of safety protocols, quality control, and production procedures
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Skills Required
- High School Diploma or GED
