POSITION SUMMARY

  • Design of the BMS system of modular buildings (small/medium scale) according to the input data, specification of the material and equipment and development of construction documentation at office in Pune Global Engineering center.
  • Manages engineering model design in Revit and prepares standard control documentation such as plans, sections, elevation views, I/O lists, riser diagrams, sequence of operations, equipment technical specifications, and material requirements.
  • The scope of work for this position includes:
    • Leading BMS documentation set
    • Equipment and material specifications
    • Creating "for construction" documentation
    • BMS equipment setup (field equipment, network switches and PLCs, servers and operator workstation)
    • Creating As-built documentation
    • Support during FAT
    • Support during on-site commissioning
    • Design/validation of fire alarm system documentation set
    • Design/validation of security system documentation set · 
  • Support internal testing and FAT in factory or SAT based on Site location. Supporting commissioning team at site during commissioning process (NA Region, India Region & Australia Region).
  • Supporting commissioning team on-site during commissioning process (Global and/or India Region). 
  • Defining fire alarm system design requirements 
  • Defining security system design requirements 
  • Engineer with Data Center Projects experience/background or similar Critical Infrastructure experience preferred.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing of project conceptual and detailed designs.
  • Based on input data (information, requirements, standards), development of electrical project documentation: riser and network diagrams, I/O lists, application and functional diagrams, instructions, material submittals, presentations and marketing materials etc.
  • During design follow and take into consideration international, national and company standards and good engineering practices
  • Participating in kick-off meeting, regular project team meetings, and on-site coordination meetings
  • Reporting project status to Project Lead Engineer 
  • Proactive cooperation with all team members during project execution
  • Controlling and supporting controls integrators with support of lead Controls engineer
  • Initiating RFI („Request for Information “) in cases where additional clarification is needed
  • Development of defined documents according to Document list (DLIST)
  • Communicates with stakeholders in North America, India, EMEA or Australia based on project & time overlap.
  • Specifying Bill of Material and services required for project execution
  • Specification of necessary certificates for materials needed to be ordered
  • Supporting suppliers with additional information during bidding phase of sourcing (offer submitting)
  • Providing technical approval for received supplier offers
  • Providing technical support to subcontractors and installers during production/assembly
  • Cooperation with Manufacturing and Site deployment engineering team 
  • Cooperation with Site Manager during assembly, providing technical solutions to raised issues
  • Cooperation with Quality Control during quality control of components/systems and assembly on Site
  • Cooperation with Commissioning engineer on testing documentation development
  • Supporting role on internal testing and FAT and/OR Site team for SAT
  • Development of installation and maintenance documentation
  • In factory, on-site and/or remote commissioning and deployment of BMS
  • Review and approval of outsourced BMS design and commissioning with support of lead Controls engineer
  • Approve or reject technically received supplier offer with support of lead Controls engineer
  • Approve or reject suggested changes by subcontractor on approved workshop documentation with support of lead Controls engineer

 

Authorities:

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: B.E/Btech in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer (Automation) [OR Diploma with +3 years of experience] OR ME/Mtech 
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Active knowledge of English language (oral and written)
  • Software – AutoCAD, AutoCAD, ICT, Security Systems, SQL, PLC/DDC software package, SCADA software package knowledge [Revit desired]
  • Technical skills – Programming, SCADA, PLC, ethernet networks, DDC (preferred), Modbus (preferred), & NFPA , IS & NBC standard awareness.
  • Other skills – independent, attention to details, problem solving, organization, creativity, teamwork
