At Healthee, we're transforming how people make the most of their health benefits. As we scale our platform and grow our business, we're building out the finance function to match our ambitions. We're looking for a Controller to own end-to-end accounting, build scalable financial infrastructure, and serve as a strategic partner to leadership as we grow.

Responsibilities:

  • Own all aspects of accounting end-to-end (US GAAP) and lead the monthly close process.
  • Design and implement scalable accounting systems, workflows, and internal controls.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and lead external audit processes.
  • Partner with the VP Finance to deliver financial insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax obligations.

Requirements
  • CPA-qualified with a strong command of US GAAP and a background in audit.
  • Proven track record managing a full monthly close cycle, from journal entries to financial statements.
  • Experience in a SaaS or high-growth technology environment strongly preferred.
  • Familiar with multi-entity group structures and intercompany accounting.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Camprfire or equivalent ERP.
  • You have built or significantly improved a finance function in an early-stage environment.
  • Comfortable with automation - whether scripting, workflow tools, or partnering with engineering.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across functions.
  • Highly detail-oriented and deeply intolerant of inaccuracy.

Salary: For New York City-based hires only: Compensation Range: $150–$180k base salary, subject to standard withholding and applicable taxes. In addition to base salary, the role includes the opportunity to receive an annual bonus and equity based on the Company's plans and in accordance with the Company's policies.
