ORGANISATION
Airbus Financial Services Limited, (AFS) based in Dublin’s IFSC, is a 100% subsidiary of Airbus SAS, a leading aircraft manufacturer consistently capturing around half of all orders for airliners with more than 100 seats.
AFS provides aircraft financing for a number of Airbus customers, leasing directly or through financing vehicles to airlines. It actively manages the group’s customer financing and asset management exposure. It also provides component availability, exchange and overhaul services to Airbus customers through its wholly owned subsidiary,
Airbus Flight Hour Services Limited (AFHS).

The Contracts Officer is responsible for the day-to-day administration of a portfolio of accounts relating to contracts entered into by AFHS and/or its subsidiaries/affiliates and assistance to the Contract Managers.

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
 Qualifications/Experience - a relevant qualification or experience in finance/aviation or another subject/area with the key aptitudes required.
 Personal - excellent attention to detail, reliable, assertive, decisive, efficient (meets deadlines), clear communicator, self-motivated with ability to work as part of a team or manage a project independently, good
organisational ability and works effectively under pressure and harmoniously with other team members. A keen interest in aviation is an advantage.

 Aptitudes - The successful candidate will be able to excellent numerical skills and a background of documentation review.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are a distinct advantage.

 Language - Fluent English. Fluency in French is an advantage but not a necessity.

DIMENSIONS
Transaction Administration
At present, AFS has approximately 40 transactions in its fixed wing portfolio and 70 transactions in its AFHS portfolio. Together with the other Contracts Department members, the Contracts Officer is responsible for
administration of contracts entered into by the AFS group. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

(i) administration of the contracts;

(ii) documentation review including amongst other things, preparation of spreadsheets and input of data into in-house system(s) in order to issue invoices/credit notes in timely manner;

(iii) overdue follow-up amounts; and,

(iv) liaising with managers (in Dublin, Toulouse and other locations worldwide) in order to manage the contracts accurately and efficiently.

The Contracts Officer is also responsible for preparation of reports requested by the relevant Head of Department and senior management within AFS.

Systems & Processes Development
The Contracts Officer is also involved in identifying enhancements required for existing systems and updating procedures and implementing solutions for same.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
