The Contract Administrator serves as a key member of EC Electric's contract and risk management team. This position is responsible for coordinating the contract review process from receipt through execution, including organizing contract documents, identifying contractual risks, preparing proposed revisions, and supporting negotiations with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders. The Contract Administrator works closely with project teams, executive leadership, legal counsel, insurance brokers, and outside partners to ensure contracts are complete, compliant, and aligned with company risk management objectives.

  1. Collaborate with project teams and other internal stakeholders on contract review, negotiation, and execution.
  2. Receive, organize, and maintain customer contracts, exhibits, addenda, and related project documentation.
  3. Verify that all necessary contract documents and supporting information have been received before commencing review.
  4. Review customer contract terms and identify provisions that present legal, financial, insurance, operational, or business risks to the company.
  5. Prepare proposed contract revisions and coordinate review with management and legal counsel.
  6. Assist project teams with contract negotiations and resolution of contract-related issues.
  7. Review customer contract terms and ensure proper flow-down provisions are incorporated into downstream subcontract agreements.
  8. Coordinate with legal counsel, insurance brokers, sureties, and internal stakeholders regarding contractual requirements and company standards.
  9. Coordinate preparation and delivery of certificates of insurance and other contract compliance documentation.
  10. Coordinate contract routing, approvals, execution, and retention through company document management systems.
  11. Maintain accurate records regarding contract status, negotiations, approvals, and executed agreements.
  12. Assist project teams in understanding and complying with key contract requirements.
  13. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  •  Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, Risk Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant professional experience may be substituted for formal education.
  • Three or more years of experience in contract administration, contract management, project administration, construction administration, paralegal work, risk management, or a similar role is preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, electronic document management systems, and general internet-based applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high degree of professionalism.
  • Ability to read, understand, analyze, and communicate contract requirements and risks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, customers, subcontractors, suppliers, brokers, and legal counsel to facilitate contract review, negotiation, and execution.
  • Experience reviewing and administering construction contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, or similar commercial agreements preferred.

Benefits

Salary range for this position is $75,000-$100,000 annually. 

Opportunity for a discretionary year-end bonus.

401k with a 40% employer match (up to federal limit.)
