GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

The DHS Contract Administrator is responsible for the maintenance and administration of the contract management process and system used to manage contracts. This position interfaces with all impacted Driscoll entities to facilitate the duties of this position and portrays professionalism at all times and works collaboratively with others to assure reliability of the processes employed.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential duties of this position include:

  • Serves as a subject matter expert on the contract management process and system used to manage contracts.
  • Serves as a contract management system administrator.
  • Maintains the contract management system including ensuring that contracts are timely uploaded and that automatic reminders are accurate and in working order.
  • Reviews contract approval forms/system workflows to ensure that appropriate sign off is obtained in accordance with Driscoll policy. Provides guidance to contract owners regarding appropriate sign off needed.
  • Assists with communicating and facilitating the correction of contract deficiencies with contract owners.
  • May assist with drafting, formatting and reviewing contracts. May assist with negotiating contract terms and conditions in accordance with the Legal Department approved templates/parameters.
  • Creates and maintains hardcopy backup files for all contracts.
  • Maintains contract and form templates and the system used to house them.
  • Maintains the Contract Management SharePoint site, including ensuring that links, templates, education and other information is kept current.
  • Assists with drafting and providing contract management process education and training.
  • Provides monthly reports to the Compliance Department for monthly exclusion screening purposes.
  • Performs other related tasks as reasonably requested.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate’s degree or higher preferred (legal studies, paralegal, compliance/regulatory, business or project management preferred), paralegal certificate or equivalent work experience in contract administration, contract management or project management.
  • Ability to read and comprehend statues, laws, rules, regulations and standards.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent formatting skills. Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and credible communications with administration, medical staff, departments and personnel.
  • Demonstrates polished interpersonal skills, high energy, and flexibility.
  • Strong computer skills.
