The Content Marketing Strategist is responsible for developing, implementing, and governing scalable content programs that drive organic performance, brand consistency, and production efficiency. This role bridges traditional editorial strategy with AI-enabled workflows, ensuring content is created responsibly, accurately, and in alignment with SEO, brand, and client objectives.

- Please note that preference will be given to candidates who live in the greater Phoenix, Arizona, area.
- This role may require working in our Tempe, AZ (HQ) twice a week.

- Using AI tools responsibly to accelerate research, analysis, documentation, and problem-solving
- Exercising strong judgment around data privacy, accuracy, and ethical use
- Continuously learning and adapting as AI capabilities evolve
Proven examples of using AI to improve outcomes in prior roles is expected.
Content Strategy Development
- Build and maintain scalable content frameworks across category pages, blogs, and SEO-driven assets.
- Translate SEO insights into actionable content plans, briefs, and production calendars.
- Define page-level intent strategies to support ranking growth and conversion goals.
- Partner with SEO team to prioritize content based on opportunity size, competitive gaps, and performance trends.
AI Governance & Workflow Ownership
- Establish standards for responsible AI usage in research, outlining, drafting, and optimization.
- Identify where AI improves efficiency vs. where human expertise must lead.
- Monitor outputs for compliance with brand voice, accuracy, and search engine guidelines.
Performance Accountability
- Track how content initiatives influence organic visibility, engagement, and production velocity.
- Refine strategy based on performance data, not assumptions.
- Continuously improve content models to support evolving search behaviors and SERP features.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Translate technical SEO recommendations into executable content actions.
- Support account teams with rationale for content mix, volume shifts, and strategic pivots.
- 3+ years in content strategy, SEO content, and/or editorial planning.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience building content frameworks—not just writing or editing.
- Experience integrating AI tools into workflows with defined quality controls.
- Ability to balance creative thinking with operational structure.
- Bonus: Automotive knowledge.
- Technical Stack: SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc), AI suites (ChatGPT, ClaudeAI)
- Experience with data visualization tools (Looker Studio, GA4) to report on content ROI

CompensationThe base pay range for this role is $70,000 – $80,000 per year.
