Job Description
NBCU is seeking a person to play a key role in the Content Insights function within the Strategy & Insights department. This person will partner with the Regional Content Insights Manager to serve as in-house consultants to the consumer-focused areas of the business (e.g., Content/Programming and Marketing). Together, they will develop the appropriate tools and reports to provide strategic recommendations for improving audience performance across the region. This role requires extensive use of analytical tools, reports, and analyses.
Ideal applicants will be strategic thinkers and insight producers, with a passion for media research and enthusiasm for media and entertainment across all screens.
Responsibilities
• Works under the direct supervision of the Regional Content Insights Manager and is responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• The coordinator will collaborate with the consumer-focused teams to define strategies that will improve our audiences across NBCU's properties.
• Assist the Manager in partnering with the heads of Content, Marketing, and Creative by providing insights-based recommendations, including but not limited to: programming strategies, sizing markets for marketing initiatives, defining and understanding the viewer experience, helping optimize promo-planning campaigns, defining relevant reports and metrics that track app UX and subscriber acquisition and retention on our Universal+ streaming service, as well as tracking platform performance and consumption.
• Keep stakeholders up to date on audience trends that are driving viewership in each market (e.g., Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Central America) across all screens.
• Learn how programming rights work so that they can apply this knowledge to data analysis and provide cohesive recommendations to improve audiences.
• Identify, develop, update, and maintain reports in partnership with the Engineering team, combining syndicated research data (e.g., Ibope, Nielsen), first-party data, and dashboard visualizations to meet business needs.
• Analyze audience behavior, viewing patterns, and content consumption to identify opportunities for improving content discovery, programming decisions, and overall audience performance.
• Help develop status presentations for the Board and management team.
• Help determine and track the correct KPIs to grow our performance appropriately.
• Proactively foster an audience- and data-centric mindset among peers by sharing content performance insights, educating teams on media metrics and best practices, and promoting a deeper understanding of viewer behavior, content discovery, and consumption.
• Analyze subscriber and user consumption behavior to gain insights into user acquisition/conversion, engagement, preferences, and trends.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for optimization.
• Turn external and internal datasets into stories for better product and market understanding company-wide.
• Collaborate with the Sales Insights team to enrich their proposals with data via the many different tools we utilize.
• Collaborate with the rest of the Strategy & Insights team and identify opportunities to create efficiencies among department peers.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• Advanced English and Spanish (both written and verbal), Portuguese is a plus. 2-3 years of relevant experience working with insights
• 2+ years of relevant research/insights experience required, media preferred including TV, cross platform, agency or consumer research (content insights is a plus).
• 1+ years of experience supporting a Streaming/TV network group preferred
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Bachelor's degree in business, data analytics, marketing, statistics, economics, management information systems, mathematics, or related field

• Strong presentation, communication, and writing skills in both English and Spanish.
• Self-starter and proactive thinker with an innate curiosity, bias for action, and desire to push beyond the status quo.
• Ability to identify, distill, and articulate clear and actionable brand stories, insights, and recommendations from a variety of data sources.
• A proven multitasker with the ability to manage numerous projects independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative skills, including analytical abilities as well as math proficiency. Experience leading quantitative and qualitative studies is preferred.
• Deep knowledge of the competitive media landscape across different Latin American markets, preferably Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, and Chile.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the CTV and television industry, with relevance across streaming, broadcast TV, pay TV, digital, and new media, including research terminology, methodologies, and audience measurement practices.
• Proficiency with Streaming, TV, and Digital metrics tools, as well as data visualization platforms such as IBOPE Instar Analytics, Comscore, Tableau, and Power BI, is preferred.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, and/or R is a plus, but not required.
• Advanced studies in Business or Data Analytics.
