Job Description

The Role

Content House (COHO) is seeking a Strategy Director to serve as the intellectual engine behind how P&G's Beauty and Personal Care brands show up in the world. This is about translating market complexity into crystal-clear creative direction and transforming business challenges into breakthrough advertising opportunities.

You'll be the strategic partner brands turn to when they need to understand their consumers more deeply, differentiate in crowded markets, or navigate pivotal brand decisions. You need the analytical rigor to diagnose business problems, the cultural fluency to uncover human truths, and the communication skills to inspire creative teams and command C-suite boardrooms.

This is a leadership role where you'll guide cross-functional teams through the strategic planning process—from initial discovery and research through campaign development and performance analysis. You'll develop positioning strategies, write creative briefs that unlock exceptional work, and present recommendations to senior executives with authority and conviction.

You'll lead strategic planning for a portfolio of key brands including Secret, Olay Body, Native, Gillette Deodorant, and Ivory—serving as the bridge between data-driven insights and culturally resonant creative work that moves both metrics and hearts.

Three Core Pillars of Responsibility

1. Strategic Leadership & Brand Partnership

·       Lead strategic planning for a portfolio of key Personal Care brands, serving as the primary strategic partner to brand teams and internal creative leads

·       Diagnose business challenges, uncover consumer insights, identify market opportunities, and develop comprehensive strategic recommendations that inform multi-channel advertising campaigns

·       Develop positioning strategies and messaging frameworks that differentiate brands in competitive landscapes

·       Translate strategic foundations into inspiring creative briefs that give creative teams both clear direction and expansive creative freedom

·       Monitor campaign performance and conduct post-launch analysis to measure effectiveness against objectives

·       Use learnings to optimize ongoing campaigns and inform future strategic approaches, creating a continuous improvement feedback loop

2. Executive Communication & Strategic Storytelling

·       Present strategic recommendations to senior client stakeholders and C-suite executives with authority and persuasiveness

·       Build consensus around strategic direction, defend recommendations with evidence and conviction, and navigate challenging conversations with diplomacy and confidence

·       Distill complex strategies into clear, compelling narratives that inspire action and unlock budgets

·       Write creative briefs that inspire the agency's best work—providing strategic clarity while leaving room for creative exploration

·       Champion strategies internally and externally, ensuring buy-in at all levels of the organization

·       Represent strategic thinking in cross-functional meetings with creative, production, and media teams

3. Strategic Innovation & Team Development

·       Stay ahead of industry trends, consumer behavior shifts, competitive movements, technological innovations, and cultural currents that impact brands

·       Translate emerging trends into strategic opportunities and proactively bring new thinking to brand relationships

·       Leverage AI to sift through data, trends, and reports—synthesizing information into actionable insights

·       Conduct training sessions and provide mentorship to junior strategists and planners

·       Foster a culture of intellectual rigor, curiosity, and strategic excellence within the team

·       Build strategic frameworks and tools that can scale across COHO's brand portfolio

The Candidate Profile

·       The Strategic Visionary: You believe great strategy is the foundation of great creativity. You're energized by solving complex business problems through the power of ideas and turning challenges into breakthrough opportunities.

·       Analytical & Intuitive: You're equally comfortable analyzing spreadsheets and dissecting cultural trends. You can identify patterns in complex data and uncover human truths that inspire creative work.

·       Executive Presence: You can command a boardroom while remaining endlessly curious about human behavior. You present to C-level executives with confidence and defend your recommendations under scrutiny.

·       Brief-Writing Excellence: Your creative briefs inspire exceptional work. They provide strategic clarity without constraining creativity—they inform and inspire.

·       Research & Analytics Expert: Deep expertise in consumer research methodologies, market analysis, competitive intelligence, and brand strategy development. Proficient with research platforms, analytics tools, social listening software, and data visualization.

·       Cultural Fluency: You have your finger on the pulse of what's happening in culture, technology, media, and society—and understand how these forces shape consumer behavior and brand relevance.

·       AI-Savvy: You understand how to leverage AI to process information, identify patterns, and synthesize insights faster and more effectively.

·       Collaborative Leader: You work cross-functionally to bring strategies to life. You build strong relationships with creative, production, and brand teams.

·       Multi-Channel Expertise: Experience across digital, social, experiential, traditional media, and emerging platforms. You understand how strategy adapts across different touchpoints and customer journey stages.

·       Business Acumen: Strong understanding of how advertising and marketing contribute to broader business objectives. Fluency in marketing metrics, ROI analysis, and performance measurement frameworks.

Why COHO? Why P&G?

You'll get the creative freedom of a startup with the resources and brand portfolio of P&G's Personal Care division. COHO gives you:

·       High-Impact Work: Your strategic thinking will shape how some of the world's most recognized beauty and personal care brands show up in culture

·       Strategic Autonomy: Lead strategy for major brands with the trust and resources to do your best work

·       Executive Access: Present directly to C-suite leaders and influence decisions at the highest levels

·       Collaborative Environment: Work alongside talented Creative Directors, producers, editors, CG artists, and content creators who are eager to bring your strategies to life

·       Innovation Mandate: Champion emerging trends, new platforms, and AI-driven insights to keep COHO ahead of the curve

·       Mentorship Opportunity: Develop the next generation of strategic thinkers and build a culture of strategic excellence

·       Brand Portfolio: Lead strategy for Secret, Olay Body, Native, Gillette Deodorant, and Ivory
