The Role

About this role 

As a Content & Social Media Intern at Transcarent, you’ll work on meaningful projects that directly support our mission to measurably improve health and care. This internship offers hands-on exposure to how a high-performing Brand & Communications team operates within a fast-growing digital health company. 

What you’ll do 

  • Work on projects that impact the business and contribute to Transcarent’s mission of better health and care 
  • You'll gain exposure to how our Marketing (Brand & Communications) Team operates  
  • You’ll be exposed to experienced colleagues from all backgrounds  
  • Contribute to innovative and creative thinking for social media channels  
  • Partner with the team on creating an Instagram social media strategy for Transcarent 
  • Help develop longform and short form social content, generating ideas, developing/drafting video scripts 
  • Help to build out a content/social calendar for the Transcarent social team  
  • Help monitor social media for brand references 
  • Take on various special projects within the Brand & Communications team 
  • Contribute diverse perspectives on how to target audiences on the consumer side via social media 
  • Partner with cross functional areas within the organization to gather insights, feedback, and ideas on how to enhance our social strategy  

What we’re looking for 

Our Ideal Candidate... 

  • Is actively pursuing a degree in Marketing or Communications 
  • Is a self-starter and is skilled in identifying issues and developing solutions. 
  • Is a creative thinker, excellent writer, passion for social media and communications 
  • Has a passion for healthcare and is inquisitive about the various ways we can improve the delivery of health and care. 
  • Is able to dedicate 40 hours a week for a duration of 12 weeks. 

Nice to have skills 

  • Graphic design experience:  
    • Exposure or familiarity with tools such as: Figma, Adobe Studio  
    • Strong writer/copyright skills  
    • Video editing skills  

As a hybrid role based in Chicago, IL , the hourly pay for this position is:

$23.00/hour

Program Details:
 Duration: May 26 – August 14
 Compensation: Competitive hourly rate (role dependent) we do not provide relocation assistance
 Benefits: Internship roles are not eligible for Full-Time employee benefits
 Work Authorization: Candidates must be independently authorized to work in the U.S. — we are unable to provide sponsorship or work authorization for this position

Total Rewards 

Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal equity.  

Salary is just one component of Transcarent's total package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock options.
