This is a hybrid role working from our London office.

The Role & Team:

As a Consumer Research & Insights UK Manager, you will help to uncover data-driven insights to market Business Insider’s audience in support of the RFP flow (70% UK, 30% US). The Manager will be responsible for knowing the Business Insider audience inside and out and support Sales and Marketing teams by providing insights-driven narratives on key targets both proactively and in response to proposals. This person will be an integral part of the team, owning methodology, helping to surface key insights, maintaining consistency across geos and evergreen resources, as well as serving as subject matter expert in all things audience. 

The Consumer Research & Insights Manager has a talent for translating numbers into accessible and actionable insights, and is comfortable speaking about data to a variety of different stakeholders across the business both internally and externally, educating others on its best uses. You are able to think outside the box, discovering creative ways to best tap into various data sources to tell a compelling story.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Consumer Research & Insights team in handling daily research requests received from the international (70%) and US (30%) sales and marketing teams. 
  • Responsible for owning, and maintaining audience and traffic reporting, and collateral creation, using standardized methods to determine global reach numbers. 
  • Develop deep knowledge of Business Insider’s audience, as well as key business categories and industry trends, in order to find and surface insights that will support the efforts of our Sales and Marketing teams internationally, and within the US.
  • Ensure collateral is utilizing consistent numbers and methodologies across documents and across geos.
  • Provide insights and research for RFP proposals and proactive materials.
  • Support custom research development and execution as needed.
  • Present custom research and insights in partnership with sales to clients
  • Share information in a creative and easy-to-use format to be incorporated into a range of sales and marketing materials
  • Work with internal teams on the development and execution of research and insights projects
  • Provide research and insights support within key category overviews
  • Research media and industry trends

The ideal candidate has:

  • Proven experience in a research, consumer insights, or marketing role at a brand, agency, or media company 
  • Comfortable cleaning and analyzing data, interpreting insights and communicating findings
  • Ability to tell and present a compelling story with data (be a storyteller) to colleagues across the organization and externally to clients
  • Experience working with syndicated research tools (i.e. GWI, Comscore, Similarweb, Ipsos), industry resources and third-party resources (i.e. EMARKETER) a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, writing and presentation skills
