We are looking to hire a Consulting Project Manager to join Microsoft Federal.

As a Consulting Project Manager, you will work in a PMO to maintain financial forecasts, perform contract administration, and develop processes for improving business efficiency.

Responsibilities
Account Delivery Management
- Support administration of large federal contracts, including processing contract modifications, amendments, and funding actions.
- Maintain financial forecasts, staffing projections, and budget tracking to support program execution.
- Review workforce capacity and resource demand, recommending labor allocations aligned with contractual requirements and available funding.
- Develop cost estimates and supporting basis-of-estimate documentation for new requirements, contract changes, and growth opportunities.
- Analyze cost drivers, labor trends, unit costs, and rate structures to support financial planning and decision-making.
- Track commitments, obligations, expenditures, burn rates, and estimate-at-completion metrics against approved budgets.
- Identify financial risks, funding shortfalls, and excess funding early and develop data-driven recommendations for corrective action.
- Produce executive-ready reports, dashboards, and briefings that simplify complex operational and financial data.
- Coordinate with program leadership and executive stakeholders to obtain approvals, communicate status, and support decision-making.
- Develop, document, and continuously improve operational and business management processes.
- Leverage automation, AI tools, and reporting solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Maintain compliance with security, contractual, and organizational requirements.
- Document work products, maintain operational records, and contribute to team knowledge-sharing initiatives.

- Bachelor's Degree in related field AND 2+ years experience in project management
- OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements
- The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret /SCI Security Clearance. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required pre-offer and post-hire for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate U.S. Government clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field AND 5+ years experience in project management
- OR equivalent experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate Project Management (CAPM) certification.
- 1+ year(s) financial management experience.
- Understanding of government contract structures and the financial processes that support contract execution.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, AI-assisted workflows, or similar generative AI tools.
Consulting Project Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $77,900 - $156,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $100,800 - $169,200 per year.
