Your Impact
As a Wireless Network Consulting Engineer (NCE), you will work with the lead to drive technology design, implementation, execution, and optimization for projects and accounts, accelerating customer business outcomes. You will assist customers with integration and implementation of Cisco technologies, build customer simulations in test labs to resolve and validate medium sophisticated problems and compatibility issues, and act as an initial focal point for problem resolution in customer engagements. This role involves crafting and reviewing project work such as design recommendations, high-level and low-level designs, and implementation/change management plans.
- Collaborate with customers and internal/external resources (e.g., Cisco account teams, technical support, partners) on deployment and optimization of Cisco services and solutions.
- Assist with task and project implementation for assigned customer engagements.
- Jointly craft and review project deliverables including design recommendations and implementation/change management plans.
- Build and utilize test environments to resolve medium sophisticated problems and compatibility issues.
- Serve as an initial focal point for problem resolution for customer engagements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Commanding knowledge of WLAN fundamentals, including RF design and wireless network design for standard enterprises.
- Experience delivering network optimization and Pre-Deployment Inspection (PDI) projects independently.
- Familiarity with Wi-Fi 7 technology and Python scripting using AI.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Wi-Fi 7 Access Points and Catalyst Wireless LAN controllers.
- Ability to follow established procedures with moderate supervision.
