Job Specific Tasks and Duties

- Lead and develop and optimize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to processing trade for different clients according to clients’ business requirement
- End-to-End Processing Trade Management: Oversee all phases from processing trade handbooks/e-files, import/export declarations, handbook/e-filing amendment and extension to final reconciliation and closure with timely manner.
- Customs Compliance & Bonded Supervision: Ensure strict adherence to customs regulations, including bonded materials management, inward/outward processing, and duty-free/quota controls. Conduct periodic physical inventory checks and ensure consistency between system records and actual stock.
- Audit & Reconciliation: Lead regular clients’ internal audits, handle customs verifications, and resolve discrepancies in inventory, BOM, and actual consumption.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify compliance risks in transfer pricing, scrap/waste disposal, and deep-processing transfers; implement corrective measures, support customs audits or inspections.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with clients’ internal supply chain, finance, production, legal teams and external stakeholders (customs brokers, authorities) to align trade operations with business goals.
- Policy Update & Training: Monitor regulatory changes (e.g., Customs AEO, China Customs No. 70/2024 updates) and train client’s teams on new requirements. Ensure client’s daily operation could compliant with China Customs regulations, including processing trade policies and bonded supervision requirements.
- System Optimization: Utilize customs systems (e.g., GAC’s single window, H2018) and ERP tools to automate and streamline trade data flows for the clients.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in processing trade (import/export, bonded warehousing, or customs brokerage) within manufacturing, trading, or logistics.
- Deep knowledge of Chinese Customs regulations, including Handbook/E-file management, verification and write-off, and duty exemption processes.
- Proven experience in handling customs inspections, post-clearance audits, and penalty disputes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret BOM, loss rates, and unit consumption data.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both English and Chinese (Mandarin).
- Bachelor’s degree or above in International Trade, Logistics, Law, or related fields.
